  2. Murphy is 35 this year and we got £3m for him. Joselu is 27.
  3. First reply to that is awful. Aye it was an unnecessary attack. I've met Pete Graves before, he's a top bloke and a huge Newcastle fan. Agreed. Met him before as well, really nice guy.
  4. My dad's told me about that before. Against Villa wasn't it? Apparently the player who was 'challenged' by Shearer couldn't believe he got sent off either.
  5. Surely Darlow and Krul are better than Kuszczak. I don't think that's true. It'll be Karnezis or no one. He's going to Watford apparently. Karnezis that is. Urgh. Would rather have Elliot remain #1 than Kuszczak.
  6. Bit of a poll going on Twitter, discussing who the worst referee involved in an NUFC game ever was, the options being Trelford Mills, Brian Coddington, Steve Martin and Keith Stroud. Of course, you'll have Uriah Rennie, James Linington and Steve Bennet in there as options. I'm a bit young to remember Mills and Coddington exactly but I know what disgraces they were part of, the Brighton FA Cup goals being disallowed and the 3 players sent off at the Baseball Ground in 1992 (highlights of that game are on YouTube). So who was the worst out of those refs?

  9. A bit underwhelming but Stoke fans' comments have buoyed me a bit. Hopefully he comes good for us.
  10. How bothered are you about potentially losing him? A bit disappointed to be honest mate. He's a decent player. His record looks poor on paper (something like 5 goals in 25 appearances) but that doesn't take into account the amount of times he's played a full 90, with the majority of his apps being from the bench. He went out on loan last season to Deportivo and performed well albeit a long injury. 100% should've been given more of a chance at Stoke but unfortunately Hughes' complete incompetence at managing strikers correctly, which is terribly ironic considering how good Sparky was in his prime, meant he became a bit of a scapegoat when things were going wrong in the final third. Not at all surprised we've let him go mind, Stoke have been actively looking for a buyer for a year now, but I am surprised we've let him go for £5m tbh and under a manager that can use strikers correctly I can only assume he'll turn out to be a very shrewd signing for yous.

  12. Nah. As Dave said, hope he takes this chance. Really was impressed with him even though it was 20 minutes. Hopefully he's an absolute gem of a find.
  13. No idea if he's reliable. Close to Rafa though, isn't he?

    Paul Dummett

Rafa said it's 2 weeks he could be out for.
  15. The lads up in the new singing section on the TF matchday podcast thing they're doing were quite scathing about fans especially in the Gallowgate.
  16. Well this Chelsea fan kna's the craic.
  17. Not sure if he can play there but if we do finally sign this Kenedy from Chelsea he may be put there.
  18. Free kick goal from Dybala but the wall and keeper may as well have not been there.
