If that is the Alan Davies I'm led to believe it is, then Wow! I met him at St James' once he was pissed as a fart and very polite. Exactly what you'd expect given his TV persona.

I wouldn't be making him a priority. He wants to leave, Juve want to give him away. If we have space towards the end of the window, and we have secured our targets then I'd take a punt on somebody like him.

Players like that need to be looked at towards the end of the window. It'd be nice to add them to the mix when we've secured the core.

If he was guaranteed to do that it would be a no-brainer. Question is how much are we willing to gamble.

If he's willing to take a substantial pay cut I'd entertain the idea. Performance related bonuses to incentivise him. He's in a position to wait for somebody else to match his wages, but would anybody be prepared to?

Digne and PEA are currently options being discussed, and Lingaard is still a possibility, I suppose.

I think Milan's interest was already known. Maybe not, but tha's not the point. If a club have an offer for £10M, they offer him for £20M to see if anybody is prepared to go to £15M, before asking the club that offered £10M.

It'll be agents, or the selling club, testing the water to see if anybody else will pay that price.

Dunno. I think if you look at Chelsea, as a player, you think you can make the spot your own. Don't think Chelsea wouldn't hesitate to sell Chilwell, for profit, if Digne is better. And if he believes he is, then he might fancy that challenge. In a sense, you want him to want to sign for Chelsea, but be excited to be joining us.

I remember buying him from Burnley, on FM, for about £2m. Then all of a sudden he was shit hot in real life and there was no way he'd ever sign for us. I reckon it's a carry over from the postponed game. Weird how people can't let petty disputes go. It's like hating on the Villa for making bedshhets to celebrate our relegation. I reckon that's the world now. Once upon a time we ourselves would sing "your going down with the mackems" The facebook age is just more visual. But once the 90 mins was over you always got on with your life, nobody let it fester and spoil their saturday night.
