  1. Aye. You'll probably be dead before your imagination can come up with a pathetic stereotype that does nothing but reflect your own misery.
  2. Too many people too quick to say "give him 200k per week". Agents live and breathe by these people.
  3. Always ben a Man U cunt, condescending to us. But now he's afraid he's showing his true cowardice.
  4. I don't think where we finish matters that much, this season. As long as he's happy at the club. I suspect where we start next season will have a bigger influence on his belief in 'the project'.
  5. The market to be exploited is far bigger than 52000, but I'm not sure if bigger crowds improve the atmosphere in any way.
  6. That's what gets my goat with VAR, when they say it worked in our favour because it got a correct decision. It's just another element to be analysed and fill TV time.
  7. I always remember it getting steadily faster, but we used to sing it for four choruses. maybe the "want it now" mentality of today's expectant youth, has changed it forever.

    Dan Burn

maybe I meant most replaceable, I dunno. Definitions are changing week to week.

    Dan Burn

There was a moment, early on where he was in a tight defensive position and gave the ball away, that I thought "Targett wouldn't have done that", but thought I was being harsh. Then he did it further up the pitch and I thought "fuck him, get Targett on". The beauty is they're both players that i love to see in the team sheet.

I've said nothing that contradicts your reasons for disagreement.
  11. i think his genius goes beyond his plan. I would have had no problem if Joelinton and Maxi had replaced Longstaff and Murphy, but Howe had the composure to trust in them both.
  12. Yes. That's where we are now. If Murphy can defy expectations, then living up to them is no longer worthy of comment. I think it's a Ferris Bueller quote but life moves fast, if you don't stop once in a while to look around, you miss it.
  13. I'm delighted with Murphy's performances. I'm just reiterating the fact that sometimes, when you're a well run club, the starting line-u doesn't always dictate the result you would expect.
  14. I'm completely mixed on this but that kind of reflects my attitude towards football. No doubt the hungry, but lazy, will offer him that much but will he leave the love of the fans, to which he has the graciousness to credit his form, to double his salary that probably already gives him more than he ever dreamed of.
  15. Nah, fuck that. He's lucky he chose to join us when things were kicking off. The guy will be a global superstar on his own merits, but his value will always depend on his decision to join us when he did.

Is that the first time? Love the lad to bits. He's slowly evolving [due to the rapid evolution of the squad] into our weakest link, but fuck me I'm glad we signed him.
  17. I don't know if under-rated is what I'd call him, people were calling for him to replace Burn before the season began. I honestly don't particularly notice him when he plays, but when I do it isn't for an error. He certainly seems a quality addition that could be our lynchpin for years to come, but for now, I think, the system is everything and the fact the defence were practically anonymous today, fills me with great hope.
  18. I know we did [3 times] and he fact my love affair with the club began when we were at that level, being the best of the second best has always turned out to be adequate. But it's not a title to defend.
  19. And now you've gotta believe us... I will never believe it myself, so if it ever happens...? 'kin 'ell.
  20. Fuck, I hope not! Some are already expecting a 5-0 half time lead against Everton.
  21. Exactly! How many times in the last three years have we forced errors in the opposition's penalty box?
  22. I mean it's hard to smile at the good things in life, ye know?
  23. Mee and Ajer are considered two of the best CBs outside the top 6, for ball control, they were both big signings for Brentford [wjen they signed Ajer without us even entering the discussion, it smacked of our lack of ambition]. the fact we put them under the pressure that led to 3 errors is indicativ of where we are.
  24. In fairness, I do need to overlook the selection of Murphy, but that's the best thing for me. We don't have the squad of Man City or Liverpool, but we're already getting more than the sum of or parts. As much as I love Maxi and want to spend every waking moment watching him produce magic, I#'ll be happy seeing Murphy take his place in the line-u against Man U next week. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about Howe, then nothing ever will and you'll be forever wanting
  25. Agree. It's as though Howe is the first to recognise how to beat the modern game [which DIES sound arrogant[. I just struggle to balance this with where we were a year ago. When last season concluded, I didn't think for a moment we could continue our form from the second half of last season. Like others, I thought we needed 11 new players to maintain our credibility [if not points] but we've actually built upon it.
