Eddie will bed him in over the next 42-48 months

Most important thing for me, sounds like a signing that really wants to be here judging by comments last week. Exciting one!

DCL makes commercial sense being free but feels a bit out of the frying pan (Wilson) into the fire. Same issue, potentially good striker that's never fit for long and Isak won't feel the pressure at all.

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

Got Leazes 2nd row behind the goal. Like watching a completely different game down there but enjoy it every now and then for a change. Interesting to actually hear how much communication goes on during a game -
Ramsey's an upgrade on Willock, like. Be happy with that.
-
Wilson been so good for us in his time, but that's done now. Can't be keeping him at this level

Whatever striker we sign is going to feel underwhelming but we have one the top 5 strikers in the world, no one who feels exciting as a signing is going to come here to sit on the bench. I'd like to see an Alvarez type who came in to play understudy to Haaland and was relatively unknown at a cost of £14mil. Hard to find.

Can we develop an 'imbedded tweet only' notification for this thread?

Likely to be a PSR flip? Low risk anyway picking up on a free, send out on loan where he hopefully impresses.

Ayoze regen welcome prince

Why's this gained traction i've only seen a Rob Dorsett tweet and that included touting Isak about as usual so i ignored it
-
Agree, but they're also not silly money signings. Wages will probably be making the whole transaction easier, mind.

Reijnders, Cherki and Ait-Nouri in before the club world cup starts is the expectation at City. That's how you do a window early.
-
Classic example of rather not have him if that's the attitude. Really is missing out on something special with us
-
Class player, be perfect for us. Just the expense on a 28 year old i can't see the club doing it.
-
Wouldn't worry about Man U spending. Same every year, spend a fortune predict they'll have a better season and literally get worse. Clubs run terribly from top to bottom so i don't get the narrative they'll be back to being a top 4 side any time soon.

Yeah its very vague and most likely for clicks. So much more complex than just an x budget these days. Deal structure comes into play for PSR of course
-
Craig Hope reporting a budget of £100m. Keep in mind he quoted £75m in summer 2023 and a month later we had signed: Tonali £55m Barnes £40m Tino £35m Minteh £8m Total £138m Club aren't going to give budget to any journo imagine how weak negotiations would become.

Anyone got a TL;DR on Craig Hope's article just now? Could be some juicy bits but its behind paywall
-
Enjoyed the 'if Howe has a bad start next season he will be off'. Did they not see us until December this season?
-
Wasn't trying to and don't want to. Just seeing if anyone else could see it happening. I'd be gutted if he left tbh

On the back of this, can anyone see a world we sell Gordon and have the following 4 wingers: LW Barnes, Osula RW Mbeumo, Murphy
