As someone who's had recurrent disc problems in my back if a discs gone he won't be doing much of anything for a good while -

The Welbeck injury gives us more time to try and equalise and then hopefully win this game -

Anyone thinking Tonali has been poor needs to lay off the LSD. -

It's positioning, Isak plays all over the defensive line not unlike Henry but look at someone like Haaland . His entire game is pretty much a line from the penalty spot with a few yards either side of it . When Isak drifts , Gordon sometimes looks to be more central or Joelinton will run in but it really needs the whole front three to interchange better -

Barnes on the right second half . He has enough about him to make it work. Murphy doesn't. It's an old song but we keep having to sing it -

It's a bloody shame as the midfield of Joe, Tonali and Bruno looks really really on it for the first time this season. -

Ref's having a shocker here . We need Schar and Burn to be more switched on, both are too far forward when we're attacking and too slow to get back -

That's football. Have to take your chances. We've played well but we always look vulnerable through the middle on breaks. Isak has to score his chances it's a one on one. Murphy's still consistently awful . Years behind the other players wavelength and cuts back more than Miggy does. Prior to his chance I'd thought Isak was generally a bit too deep and playing along the width of the Brighton defence meaning there's no central threat. It's fine in a front two but in front three he has to be positionally disciplined. -
Just want the best person for the job. I don't care if they've a poster of Kath the tea lady on their wall just be brilliant for us and fuck over every other club in the league.
-
People are forgetting the difference a good striker can make even when not scoring . Isak and Wilson have different strengths but between them they bring things like pulling defenders out of position, dummy runs , holding up the ball, dropping deep , playing off the full back etc .
-
We were ok , it just seemed like one of those nights. We look far better with the three of Joelinton, Tonali and Bruno . We had control of the game for large spells and just couldn't get the goal to make the difference. There won't be many games this season where we go away from home miss a penalty and a clear chance one on one that against other team you'd back Gordon score it. We're getting better, an Isak or a Wilson or even a bloody Chris Wood and we win that. (Still can't have Murphy in the side mind)
-
Miggy didn't want the move and the way Murphy's playing he'll be confident about getting back in the side sooner rather than later
-
Both were poor. Murphy with his usual dross and Barnes playing down to Everton's level neither can complain about being given the crook.
-
Battered Everton but lacked any real cutting edge . We've seen worse performances this season and had better results. The flaws in the side and the squad have been evident for so long. It's quite difficult to score goals without a goalscorer. We've two very good ones but unfortunately they're both made of glass.
-
So poor that from Gordon. Even the best players have shit days. Haaland was nullified last week by ourselves. Keep on Newcastle we fold these.
-
Still lots of time left . Keep the focus and the pressure on here. Miggy and Willock are both capable of making something happen
-
The top teams in this situation keep going. Keep making chances, we've just got to do that. Everton are looking for a single opportunity. We desperately need to improve our set pieces. Too many wasted corners here.
-
Keane's shite . Ashley Young is a hundred and six. We should be beating these.
-
Fucking dive
-
If we're gonna keep pulling back and making crosses why don't we give Osula a go as a central striker for the last 20 odd minutes ?
-
Where's Murphy playing? What's he offering ? At least Miggy brings graft
-
Gueye will try and sit on Joelinton here
-
Love Barnes but sometimes he's so focused on looking at if he can cut in hes missing the space on the outside
