  1. It would be great if everyone could just ignore Edwards so he could wallow in his own insignificance. Bald nonse. Looks like he enjoys poetry he doesn’t understand, shit wine, and rent boys.
  2. I very much doubt he regularly goes anywhere near the training pitch, especially if it’s cold or wet. I would imagine he just sits in his office and works his way through the £20 worth of Greggs that he bought on his way to work whilst swigging a 2 litre bottle of Coke.
  3. Found myself looking in this thread less and less the last couple of month cos of some of the lunatics who constantly hang around in it. It’s easily the worst thread on the forum.
  4. I thought Billing looked really good in a poor Huddersfield side. Can’t remember him doing anything at all for Bournemouth though. He’s certainly not going to significantly improve us.
  5. Pulis? I’ve been genuinely appalled every time i’ve had to witness his teams live. Absolutely honking football. Only slightly better than Baconball IMO.
  6. Coaches like Dyche and Allardyce are levels above Bruce (and Pardew for that matter) for this exact reason. They have an idea, a strategy, a 'philosophy', and they know how to implement it and make sure their players understand and perform it. The patterns of play become automatic which means the foundations are there, regardless of form or opponent. They'll never work at a top club but they can get a promotion, keep a team in the Premier League, and maybe, once or twice, luck will fall their way for a season and they'll get a team into Europe. Managers like Bruce and Pardew have nothing apart from blind faith in their own 'man management'. They float wherever the wind takes them (has to be a slightly stronger wind for Bruce to float obviously). They have no understanding of how to get out of a 'crisis', no genuine trust in their own ability (compare that to Rafa's calmness when things aren't going his way). Eventually they float in so many directions that their players get dizzy and start wondering if there is any purpose, on the football pitch or in life. Unsurprisingly their insecurities start coming to the surface as soon as genuine pressure is heaped on them. That’s bang on like good post ?
  7. Barton does at the very least love the club. When D Wise was D.O.F he offered to scout the U.S for free. I didn’t know that ? What a daft idea though. He clearly hadn’t heard of Youtube at the time.
  8. Absolutely. He’s just an arsehole with nothing interesting to write about.
  9. He clearly hasn’t though. The way he’s whined and played the victim since day 1 of taking the job proves that. He’s absolutely pathetic and an embarrasment to anyone associated with him.
  10. Ligue 1 is a significantly lower standard than the Premier League though. There would be hundreds of names if you were including players from those types of leagues. You could also argue that the French league has improved in recent times. Marseille were Europa League finalist two years ago, Lyon and PSG were in the last four of the CL last year. Monaco always seem to spring a surprise. Also France are current World Cup Champions and Algeria(half of their players are basically French) are reigning African champions. There are some strong teams and players in Ligue 1. Monaco, Lyon, PSG have all beaten our top performing teams over the last two-three years. All good points. But i watch a fair amount of games from the french league and it’s pretty obvious that the standard is poor compared to the likes of the PL and La Liga.

  12. Shelvey is utter shit and I want him nowhere near the team. He’s only effective if the pass is on his right foot and he’s got time and space. Add to the fact he’s a lazy cunt aswell then i just don’t see anything positive in him playing. Just picking him in the first place sends a bad message to the rest of the squad, especially the young players. Rafa gave him loads of chances but lost patience eventually. Bruce only likes him cos he can knock a long ball which might get him out of jail a few times a season.
  13. “It’s what the FA Cup is all about.”
  14. Shit punditry should always be called out, doesn’t matter who is spouting it.
  15. Leicester appear to be doing everything right and it’s exciting times for them. But they face a massive problem as soon as Vardy gets past it. Rodgers will be fully aware of that considering what happened to him at Liverpool after Suarez left. Vardy is huge for them on the pitch and iconic off it. You could compare it to Shearer retiring in 2006. They will really struggle to replace him and if they don’t, where does that leave them in the league for the following few seasons? Mid table? Possibly worse?
  16. Without mentioning some of the more obvious ones, i absolutely loved Andrei Kanchelskis when i was a kid. He was fast as fuck and class!
  17. Just stay out of this thread then. Instead of telling others what to believe. You're just annoying. This is something I don't understand about those who keep, persistently, posting in this thread that any takeover is dead - if they believe that, why do they keep coming back to this thread? A burning desire to be able to say "I told you so". Just weird negative types who enjoy misery and pissing on people’s chips. You know those type of “friends” that will be the first to mention that you’ve put some weight on or your hair is going a bit thin on the top, but won’t say anything if you’ve improved since the last time they saw you.
  18. In theory it’s a canny idea. But most of the zombies that go to SJP these days won’t even protest against Mike Ashley bleeding the club dry, so you’ve got no chance of them protesting against the “Big 6”
  19. Mascherano couldn’t nail down a starting place at West Ham!? The manager there at the time must’ve been a right idiot.
  20. Cole and Neville as wing backs would be a bit too defensive minded for me, as they both would’ve been essentially full backs being asked to play a more attacking role. I don’t think it would’ve worked as well as having Beckham out there, who was attack minded but was more than happy to put the miles in defensively. That’s an interesting point, it’s not something i’ve thought of before if i’m honest. Although i remember being glad at the time that Shearer didn’t make an England return.
