I don’t know a great deal about Elanga other than glimpses of his ability on MOTD etc, but two things: - we’ve wanted him in the last 3 windows so he’s obviously someone that Eddie sees a tonne of potential in. - one of my best mates is a Forest fan who says his ceiling is incredibly high. On his day, his pace, dribbling and finishing is outstanding, apparently, but he’s a bit inconsistent. So if Eddie thinks he can get his consistency right, it could be a great signing.

55m in today’s market isn’t overpaying. I keep reading this, but you have absolutely bang average players in both the PL and abroad being valued at 35m-40m.

Knowing from the horses mouth how much Harvey Barnes, die hard Leicester fan, dislikes Forest, I find that one really hard to believe.

Almost every good premier league player is worth upwards of £35m these days. Guehi is easily in the £45m-£50m category.

With all due respect, I shared exactly what I was told by people who had first hand information. Guehi WAS telling our players that he was joining imminently. Obviously I don’t have control over negotiations so I can only share what I know.

I did literally just say that we’ll almost certainly be targeting others too (the person I got the info from will only know so much), and in my post, 2 out of the 5 players I mentioned don’t have EPL experience. So, not sure if serious?

I would bracket Prestianni as the same kind of transfer as Minteh. Seen as someone with big potential but nowhere near the finished article. Tonnes of raw ability though. I first heard his name mentioned last summer, and it seems like we’ve watched him a few more times since and do like him. Whether that turns into a bid, I don’t know. In terms of it being “vanilla”, I’m positive that there’ll be a lot more going on that we / this source doesn’t know about too. This is just what I’ve heard that has some legs to it.

Small tidbits of “news” I heard yesterday. Nothing groundbreaking, but nice to hear it from someone who should know more. Gianluca Prestianni’s name was mentioned (which I think I shared last summer), but he’s very young and seen as a gamble. Been watched a lot though, and potential of that one going further as “one for the future”. Guehi is absolutely still on the list but we’re facing more competition this time.

I can’t think of anything I care about less than speculating about a players sex life. He can do whatever the hell he wants, so long as it’s legal.

Nope. - dark blue / borderline purplish shirt (exact shade difficult to describe). - a very subtle striping in the shirt itself. - an orange Sela logo. - orange adidas stripes down the arms. - an orange and green piping round the collar (and cuffs of long sleever). - an orange trefoil logo. - plus an NUFC badge that’s on a black shield (the only part of the shirt I’m not overly keen on). Overall it’s a nice kit. Reckon it’ll be a good seller.

Yes, the third kit is the retro inspired one. Definitely has a long sleeve version.

Apparently (and apologies if this is common knowledge), that an additional fixture for the Sela cup will be added for the Friday night. Don't know who it'll be yet. This isn't from the usual sources, so don't shoot the messenger, but expecting an announcement by mid next week I believe.

I mean, I completely agree with you, and he’s in a squad with elite level players and is still getting game time. As I say, I think it’s just frustrations… I don’t think there’ll be any desire to leave.
