I do love watching a nice bit of infighting when there’s no football on. Like watching a pack of starving jackals turn on each other in a tooth and claw frenzy of fury. Happens every summer but this one is a particular classic.

Fuckit. Buy that Nigerian striker off them instead. Ienacho? He’s tidy. -
Well does that not mean he’s an upgrade?

not unless we buy him we’re not. -
As an aside, has anybody on here ever flocked to a report about a rumour? Apparently we’re doing it all the time according to the newsnow thread.

More threads. Shocking. No time to go your own way.

Werner would add loads to our attack. Not just scoring goals himself but his pace and tendency to set others up rather than go for goal every time he gets a sniff is something we’ve not had properly since Nobby was in his prime.

I live in Coventry and have for 17 years. It’s better than Sunderland. Their fans are also not as weird.

That’s quite the niche reference.

There’s a reason they did the finance deal and the most likely one is that they need quick cash for transfers

Neither did Chris Waddle who could invariably hit a cow’s arse with a banjo.

i think it would be a no brainier if someone threw stupid money at us for him and there was a more effective player waiting in the wings.

I’d be interested what the criteria are for successful dribbles. Getting past players and looking flash is one thing but then doing nowt effective with the ball after makes it all a bit redundant. Any bull mastiff in the world can dribble all day long but I wouldnt put old Fido in a shirt and set him off against Leicester City.

I’ve been saying for a while that he’s the new ketsbaia but the Georgian loon played in a much better team than ASM has so far and therefore his quirks were a bit more apparent more quickly. Running down blind alleys and losing the ball is a trait they both have / had, and so is limited end product. saying that selling your best attacking player makes no sense only applies if your best attacking player is actually effective. ASM has his moments, but not many and if he’s replaced by someone better then it makes perfect sense.

Whereas we could have had the real zidane in the 90’s but got that knacker from Swindon instead.
