  1. Another edifying day - it's an FA contact that would tell us if anything is progressing / being checked through today. In the meantime hold on to what we were told and that is a deal is agreed. The logistics of which we are in the middle of via FA and both parties solicitors. An complicated and expensive hoax to run and would be for what?
  2. Great idea to send the players to the far east rudderless
  3. On average it is Impossible for VAR to get everything right with the stupidity of some of the Refs using it. VAR is all about improving the ratio which it is thankfully. I agree and even 'when' it pisses us off royally next season if it was a correct decision we can live with losing the odd goal knowing it has happened to Liverpool and City too. Our home game against Liverpool was in fact 2-2 and maybe next year VAR helps the small teams live with the biggies. How many goals would Manure have lost in this last 30 years with VAR - a damn site more than most due to Fergies intimidation etc. More penalties next season though I reckon...watch what you're doing in your own box...The Hills Have Eyes.
  4. On the other hand if FCB does dither to long and Rafa goes, little if any recruitment. If BZG pull out next season will likely be a disaster with relegation a likelihood. I doubt we’d bounce straight back up. Ashley certainly wouldn’t get £350 million for the club and I could see us in the champo for a good few years. Perfectly described as to factors which point to an imminent takeover - looks like a win - win for all concerned Too many small signs happening pointing in the same direction ... if Mike Ashley has made you paranoid whilst being understandable it is clouding your judgement. Take a step back and breathe in the 'fresh takeover air'

No threads on the front page of their forum about us... there were always 5 or 6 at one time... What's happened there then run out of ideas? Or has something finally sunk in

    Sunderland

Their fixtures are out this week. As they kick off before us they will have a weekend at home then away as we open our season against Arsenal at home on that second Saturday. Wondering how much their crowds will continiue to dwindle if they don't hit the ground running...
  7. Saturday 29th June might be about spot on for a Takeover Party in Toon... here's hoping the pieces fall neatly into place during the next two weeks
  8. Should be a quiet thread through the next week if the 21 day embargo agreed by all parties is adhered to as well as it has been of late. Now where's them chill pills?
  9. It was Leazes Park and ground to the north which was identified and it is a brilliant asset to the city and as such the correct decision was made. Plus it would have been a canny hike from the City Centre pubs to the stadium... not getting any younger here
  10. iirc it wasn't so much missed in due diligence but never did it in the first place, anyone who did do due diligence before MA ran for the hills once they saw the books I think people need to remember that the club was a PLC before Ashley bought us and as a consequence had to publish far more detailed accounts. The only debt Ashley had to settle immediately was the remainder of the Mortgage for the expansion, which I believe was around £60M and had 5 or 6 years left to run. He started with the media crap, complaining about the fact we still owed cash on the Owen transfer etc, but as others who’d examined the accounts at the time pointed out we were owed more in outstanding transfer deals, than we owed to other clubs. Complaints by Ashley and his cronies to 5e contrary was the start of trying to lower our expectations IMHO. Interesting take. Not really, I thought it was well understood that the clubs debt has risen as a consequence of the relegations. The mortgage with Barclays was well known at the time, I don’t understand how the narrative has become so twisted after 12 years. I guess the adage of repeat a lie often enough and people will believe it, is true. And that final quote describes Ashley to a T

You surely can't ask that in these modern days
  13. What is not in question is that everything has been carefully orchestrated for 12 years. He lost his credibility for me when Keegan was proven right in court and Ashley and the cronies were exposed as liars. Having said all of that we will never forget Mike Ashley Chris Mort Derek Llambias Dennis Wise Joe Kinnear Alan Pardew Steve McLaren Lee Charnley for as long as we each shall live and that will make us appreciate all the more that which is yet to come from this takeover. It's truly like waiting for Christmas as a bairn

Mackems last night saying we are desperate to become a Manchester United type team while they will remain a proper football club with old fashioned traditions ... Then they went back to the Keegan era to tell us that we never got over it and our attempts then to become a big club failed and they will do again. Never mentioned that shitting in a fountain and dumping on the seats were old fashioned traditions - oh and they're back in the reserve team trophy apparently which is interesting since it got the blame for their demise
  15. That's not how any of that worked/works. It kind of is though in effect. He's cut off the clubs income streams and diverted them for Sports Direct's and/or his own personal benefit. Hence the club wouldn't have needed these 'loans' if Sports Direct had been paying for advertising (plus other things) rather than depriving the club of millions every year. Nah none of that is true - the loans were made to keep the club's cash flow afloat after the massive income drop caused by relegation. It was the sensible thing to do as it meant we were loaning money on an interest-free basis and not from a costly third party bank like Sunderland did. There are plenty of things to criticise MA for, but that isn't one of them. If you incapable of understanding that he has reduced the clubs income for his own/another company's benefit then I'm lost for words tbh I understand that perfectly well, but a lack of advertising income from Sports Direct is not linked in any way to the reasons why Mike Ashley has loaned money to the club. Read up on our finances A considered and well thought out response You don't seem able to understand that the club is more than £100 million poorer than it should be as Ashley has diverted that money to himself basically, then loans the club money back that it wouldn't need. So it's really pointless discussing anything with you. Got to agree Sean - it's like being systematically robbed then the robber lending you back your own money which you wouldn't have needed had he not robbed you in the first place. Not to mention the premiership money of 90 million from last season that coincided with the purchase of Debenhams...certainly wasn't spent on the club or on players who were funded by outgoing transfer income in the main. He is in short a conn man.
  16. What you're saying is that our supporters will accept anything?
  17. Mr Wraith has not one fukin clue about anything other than how to self magnify. It's embarrassing that he champions us as he has the mentality of a mackem
  18. Having watched the full MA interview on youtube I can't see how anyone can possibly deal with this man. I can imagine the party interested in taking over being told that the club shop and advertising etc is tied into so many spiders webs of deals that he is intent on selling his cake and eating it for many years to come. It would be little wonder if he insists the premiership money is indeed his until 2020 as part of any deal. Jo Brand was extremely gentle today compared how I would feel should this complete tool fuck any takeover up. I'm absolutely sure there are so many terms and conditions attached that no-one will stay the course after due diligence. The club is actually for sale but the income and trade for SD isn't... who the fuck will agree to that?

Didn't realise that they had a dedicated and classy tribute page for us. Just what is it with this obsession? https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Community/Fuck-the-mags-454077871347087/
  20. I love glimmers and tads it's what we feed off
  21. I hope he spills the beans on what goes on at that club but then again we all know how they operate. Keegan told us all about them. Agreed but a reiteration from Rafa wouldn't go amiss. Does Ashley honestly think there wont be a player exodus if this plays out wtf would it benefit him or the club to go down again?
  22. If Rafa has gone then so have I - was expecting this I hope he tells the fans the outcome of his meetings with this pair of aresholes
