True. But personally I’m less convinced by him than I was with Isak. And seeing as the club are too, this seems like a bigger risk. But again, we don’t have too many options left.

Tbh, I’d be tempted to leave and move on. Of course the issue being that he is already our 4th-5th-6th choice. 80 mil plus a sell on is quite a bit, for an unproven striker.

Seems an odd one. Surely leaving him where he is would have been better. Or atleast a championship club as the style is more similar to the premier league. Not that I’ve watched much Belgian football.

There are still loads I haven’t visited. Like Liverpool, Bath, Bristol, Brighton, Sheffield, Nottingham. York is arguably the best, imo.

Personally not a fan of Manchester from the few times I’ve been. The architecture is fairly ugly, imo. Don’t get me wrong, it has a lot of things going for it but it’s just not for me.

Newcastle is a better city than Manchester, imo.

We need to hold firm. Then hopefully sell him to a foreign club next season. Even if Isak spends a year in the reserves, I’d be fine with that. I know that’s not rational, but fuck ‘em.

The thing I’d be telling Isak is they’ve spent £200 mil already this summer, including 80mil on a striker, not counting the bumper contracts they gave Van Dijk and Salah. If they really wanted him they could have used that money on him, if they really wanted him.

Different players though. We need to break down low blocks. Paqueta gives us a much better chance at than Luiz.

Just a comment from Reddit the whole club did bad in 2024-2025. I don’t really want him in Leipzig anymore and that’s for a couple of reasons. He was our highest scorer last season with 14 goals but he’s still not that good at finishing. He wastes chances, fails to score goals that should be scored, and is occasionally selfish with the ball, and his work rate is pretty bad. I don’t really care about the money he would bring to Leipzig if we sold him, frankly money isn’t an issue for Leipzig. But I desperately think we need better strikers. Openda did great when he first came to Leipzig, scoring 24 goals. He only scored 9 last season which is atrociously bad. Šeško stepped up to replace him but he still has room for improvement. I do really hope Leipzig sells him and gets a better Striker. I’m fine with Openda staying because he’s proven himself and with a new coach he could get back to being reliable.
