I’m coming round to the idea the most important thing is to get game time, and play regularly. Anderson’s loan spell to Bristol Rovers was criticised for not going to a good enough league, but it did wonders for his confidence and he was playing against men on a regular basis. maybe looking down the pecking order is the way to go.

It’s not just about drinking in bars, pubs, resteraunts per se, I don’t often drink myself on match day. But it’s really nice walking through the city centre, soaking up the atmosphere and just strolling through. I’m talking as much about the atmosphere of the city as much as I am about the pre match build up. I definitely prefer to sit in the lower tier, but I really don’t think it’s that bad up in level seven. As for the atmosphere, up there, yes it’s poor, but that a different, thing imo.

There are mitigating factors though aren’t there? I don’t think we should give up on him. His injury hasn’t helped. At 19 there is still time for development.

Weird people complain about this, imo. When they come to Newcastle they get a city centre stadium, with hundreds of bars/pubs/clubs resteraunts/ activities all within walking distance, and away fans are welcome in all of them. Many away days for Newcastle fans are in to some rundown council estate or industrial estate with not much around and segregated pubs. There are many home fans who are up as high as the away fans, and you’re not really that faraway from the pitch(West Ham is worse). Overall away fans going to Newcastle get a better deal than, Newcastle fans travelling around the country.
