  1. He's done reasonably well in France, which is physically quite similar to ours because he's techincally at the very highest level. He's a great age, great price and is tried and tested in a team that dominates possession and territory. I'm not sure I'd choose Mbuemo over someone like B. Silva, which is the profile I'd say is most similar to Lee Kang-In, if others say they would, then fair play.
  2. 1500 mins is about 16 games. 6/6 GA is a decent return for that. He'd be my second favourite option. Apparently available for less than £25m.
  3. I think he'll be one we really regret losing. There's something Salah-esque about him.
  4. Who might have PSR issues we might be taking advantage of?
  5. I think it'll be double. We had £60m to spend on Guehi/Olise last summer and we're seemingly happy to trigger Huijsen's £50m clause whilst still needing to fill arguably the 2nd most expensive position in the squad at RW. Like I say, could be wrong (got it completely wrong last summer) bit I'm quietly optimistic.
  6. 1st year expenditure dropped off, revenues gone up, powder kept dry the last 3 window and I'm hoping any prospective commercial deals are pending the type of European qualification we achieve, maybe? All conjecture, I guess, but there appears to be a general consensus across all media outlets that we do have money to spend, and will.
  7. He's genuinely an elite level manager. We've still got a couple years of rebuilding to do squad wise and that's minus the elite infrastructure.
  8. DCL becomes sellable if he signs. He's a good player who's played in a poor team for a number of years now, but given the right set up, with the number of chances we create he'll be an extremely useful addition who will allow us to use our resources on more critical positions.
  9. Nah, not on the wind up. I watched a few vids on him when we were first linked, then decided to watch some full games, and he's a brilliant player. Physically, has it all. He's hard working, a fantastic dribbler, very good finisher and technically brilliant - rarely loses the ball cheaply, but the thing that impresses me the most is his vision. He's one of those players who sees things others don't. Almost Özil-esque with some of his passing. There's a reason the 3 richest clubs in the world are after him.
  10. If so, fair enough but I massively disagree. When Luis Campos and Pep are sniffing around you, you're not just a league proven player, you're a player who they think will be at the very highest level and I agree, plus players from France generally adapt really well to the PL. Sidenote to that, that would be both Paul Mitchel and Luis Campos who have seen something in him.
  11. I'm not sure what r/r is
  12. He's got absolutely everything. There's a reason the elite clubs and Man Utd are after him.
  13. Might be being delusional but I'd put our pull right the way up there at the moment. We're currently the best team in the most watched league in the world and constantly growing with a new stadium in the works. It's all gonna be fresh in players memories come the summer, plus the pathway to the first team is almost guaranteed, respectfully to Murphy.
  14. It's definitely not. When Man City want him, you know he's a player and a half. He's twice the player Mbuemo is, for reference on value.
  15. He's played at other clubs
  16. I will keep banging this drum, but Akliouche is the player we should be signing.

    Harvey Barnes

Aside from being absolutely clinical, I love his link up play. Makes such a big difference knowing when to release the ball and not only does he do that, his weight of pass is fantastic too.
  18. I wonder if Murphy being so effective on his natural side is causing a bit of a conundrum for Howe with whether to bring in a right footed right winger. I'd love to see the number of goals we've scored from crosses/passes using the natural angle.
  19. Isak + KDB though Ooooof
  20. Tonali I'd say. Was all noise coming out about Barella then Tonali ended up coming out the wash.
  21. Cuhna has a feel of one of those players the club references when they say they're not been looking to do business but will make a move if the right player comes up. On one hand, he'd absolutely solidify our depth in the front 5. On the other, it'd be somewhat a square peg in a round hole if they used the limited funds we have to purchase and play him at RW at the expense of specialist RWinger. Don't think either school of thought is wrong tbh.
