A watched pot never boils. Only came on here last night about 8pm to see what the latest banter was - saw the Aviation thread and new manager thread at the top and wondered if Ashley had slotted Bruce.

The tag line for the film The Wraith says "he's not from around here" life imitating art

Never had a problem with Man City before their takeover. If we do go down the same route I'd say that's the two sets of fans that most deserve it. The only two clubs whose support went up when they went down.

I adore the "it'll take them years to compete with Man City man" as a good thing narrative. It'll take me weeks to sleep with Cindy Crawfor so I may as well just get gelded then? whilst my virginal next door neighbour laughs at the wait? Apart from 2years since 92 the only reason they've ever been competitive with us is because we were held back by Ashley and even then we've spent the lasf 4years 2divisions above them. An NUFC punching its own weight is out of their league save for a blip any extra is basically 'you're Hartlepool to us now'

I was/am an 89er and in the four years that followed I got relegation, play-off defeat, lowest ever average attendance, lowest ever league finish. WIth no expectations whatsoever. Then came Keegan. If this gets signed off, I'll have an idea how you'll feel about what follows. First times the best too.

Same. Still feel 'I'll believe when its confirmed' because of all the other times (actually bought one of them) but I realise that he's broke me, I'm like an institution man now, after an endless 15year cavalcade of c*ntingness I don't think I can switch that off.

Literally watched the Entertainers 93/94 literal video last week and thought "thank god I experienced that" in a sort of giving up way. Brought back that feeling of pride, belief and 'can't really believe this is happening' spoiledness at things. Still probably my favourite season because of that mix of feelings and wonderment.

Its good to see the majority of mackems on that 'dont care' about the (potentially) biggest thing to happen to their hated rivals since Keegan in 92. The 413page long 2month old thread on us had made me think otherwise, but my mistake.

Billy Hayes on Midnight Express in slow-motion ecstacy after biting out Rifki's tongue for me please. (works whether its announced or delayed)

Coaching Licence to Kill (his own teams) Original title of which was Licence Revoked, which is exactly what needs to happen to this radge for football's sake. *Had a personal vendetta against an Hispanic bloke, spent the film wasting a horrible b*stards fortunes, literally throwing it away at times, and posing as something he wasn't. Life imitates art

Its probably the main reason why things change for the better throughout history. Always wondered why people do it if its so futile, its almsot like there's countless instances of it working or something
-
I realise its been put right but for the record Boycott post Rafa - 10k season tickets given away Walk out v Wolves threatened - Ashley on TV saying the club is as close to being sold as it ever has been Boycott v Spurs in 2016 - "cart and horse" to be bolted together post Keegan fan unrest - club goes up for sale (pretendy sale but still a reaction) United Supporters for Change boycott 1989-1991 - helped get Hall and co on the board, enter Keegan and exponential growth even the gates dropping in the early 80s probably brought about Keegan. Doing nothing 100% feeds nothing changing. There's no excuses. If that's what people want to do at least be honest about it.
-
If you see it through the prism of it not being a football club (which is how Ashley sees it) it all becomes a lot clearer.

Any other owner would have a claim. This one has relegated us twice already largely down to chronic persistent lack of investment and employing idiots way out of their leagues. Hasn't get a leg to stand on. Bruce can both relegate the club and cost him millions and a sale AND negate any claim for damages. Despite that we'll keep the useless c**t on by all means.
-
Finished 12th last season so obviously can't be relegated this season. Apart from every season (Sheffield United 8th to relegated without a trace) that hardly ever happens
-
Oh aye not until mid November do people know if Man City, Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea will be in the title frame, that Real Spurs aren't title contenders for the 54th time out of 55 seasons and Ashley's-Newcastle plus some of the newly-promoted clubs and smaller clubs in the league will be in a relegation battle.

Cos all these interviews are to him are a chance to blag his way by another week because its all about him. Big book of cliches comes out and deflecting things completely helps.
-
Any other club, ever, we'd have seen the last of him. C*nt'll still be here next year here though. Bet 0 wins in 8 doesn't even touch his overall managerial record its that s**t
-
Multiple suspect referee decisions, forced to play 3games in 6days as opposed to MU's 2 in 7. Got diddled basically. Deja Vu
-
He really does. Its not that he's managed both Sheffield clubs, both Birmingham clubs and both North-East clubs its that despite it being more and more obvious he is not a good manager he's managed to get the bigger clubs in those scenarios later in his career. WTF is going on!?!
-
Self awareness you say "Can’t someone tell him that no one outside of their little echo chamber gives a single flying f**k?" on page 309 about us 24hours ago. Its now up to page 321. Its like Terry F*ckwitt disproving their own narrative within their own narrative type stuff.

Absolutely. Far too much "treason doth never prosper" going on throughout football, that blocking NUFC from becoming a force is all well and good when what were seeing is every club outside the top 6 including bigger clubs than some in it are restricted to making up the numbers and have no hope of establishing themselves beyond it and that if your club doesn't like a PL decision they can be bullied with expulsion, whilst the other 6 can get away with anything. Its a disgrace but sadly most people in football will take it because it benefits them and their clubs to stuff us, even though it dooms them too. "for if all prosper, none dare call it treason".

What kind of playground defence is 'there's no loss at the moment because the deal is still on the table' if the deal is stalled forever thats a 350million loss, SJH has 350m less right this very instant
-
Could be team Bruce going for good cop/bad cop thing to get fans to let up on him There's no point getting on him because he's not going anywhere - circa Bruce's fellow career scammer Dickheadwards He's under press, have mercy Nah, I say he's on the ropes, don't let up, if anything redouble efforts and finish him
-
Anybody raving about that is literally a raving lunatic. An open game at one of the favourites for relegation who we fkn well should be creating chances against as a bare minimum that in the end was drawn?! Truly halcion days. How many other clubs would flagellate themselves over that ffs? Its a window into how s**t this manager knows he is, that achieving what every other manager will this season is boast-worthy. We've not won one of our six winnable games - club and Bruce are perfectly satisfied. Again - what other club would behave like that?
