Positive Optimism - Saudi Takeover Edition
Facundo Ferreyra replied to Jinky Jim's topic in Football
I've had a can of Chocomel (Dutch chocolate milkshake) in the fridge for months now. That's being cracked open when the takeover is confirmed. -
"The World Trade Organisation has ruled that Saudi Arabia was behind a pirate satellite TV and streaming service that illegally broadcast sporting events" But they haven't though, have they? They've established that Saudi Arabia didn't do enough to stop it, not that SA was behind the illegal broadcasts.

The crack is lifting on it like. We on about Pod on the Tyne or no? Cos the banter on that is desperate. Aye mate - proper “yer da” crack. Tried listening to it once and they were joking about Chris Waugh being called 'waffles'. Patter as dead as Bruce's dad, cringed to the point of wanting to top mesel.

For just a start all parties will have solicitors/sub-contracted solicitors working on this full time, whilst your solicitors certainly wouldn't have been on your flat. Do you reckon? I wouldn't be surprised if they're on hourly allocation to the project. Nee idea obviously. Having worked on multi-million pound projects (including a massive one involving the government) I can assure you that's not the case. Absolutely no offence meant in this comment, but your posts about this takeover don't exactly match those of a person working on multi-million pound projects. No offence taken I have on a few, have you? Nope, I just work for a company that moves over $9 Trillion around the world globally. I also know that a portion of this transaction will go through us. Doesn’t mean I know how the premier league solicitors work. So you haven't then fair enough. Not like you to miss the point (you know, the bit where I say your previous posts don’t read like you know anything about this). Almost certain (I’ll check) that I didn’t claim to have worked on multi-million pound projects. What industry do you work in out of interest? Rail early retirement not that it's got anything to do with you mind. You sound a bit like Denzel Washington in The Taking of Phelam 123. Canny film actually It's the best film in which John Travolta tells someone to lick his bunghole ever made.

We have never been anywhere near "this stage" in any proposed takeover in the past. I don't know when any announcement will be made, I have no idea at all . . . but I am certain that it will be worth the wait! We never had an official 'end' to the BZG takeover Pretty sure we did when Ashley gave an "interview" to Martin Samuel in which he said "The last bid, the one from UAE, he's a prince and he's got £38bn or £100bn, all these numbers — well, why would you even care what you're paying then? What difference would £10m either way make?"

If the thread's been deleted then it MUST be off. Guess who wins again. -
Hmmm... that does seem like strange wording from George... I'm guessing he's trying to get hold of his source as we speak. Sorry. I've been busy with work all day. I managed to read that James Richardson tweet. But I don't understand this Caulkin tweet. Is it something positive or negative? Can anyone explain it to me? He's basically saying "I haven't said that the deal is still with the premier league today, I said it was yesterday", as if it's been signed off...

Never heard of the bloke. Looks like he's a legit sports journalist: https://www.sportsjournalists.co.uk/other-bodies/football-writers/q-and-a-with-sja-sports-news-reporter-of-the-year-john-richardson/ Used to be head football writer on the Journal Is it the same one? If so then he is a proper journalist at least, not some twitter t***. As far as I can tell yes. The interview article with him has links to his Twitter profile.
