Futile is right, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't love all this stuff (as you can probably tell by my username, I was full of optimism when I signed up to this forum amid the BZG links last year). I don't love the crushing disappointment when things eventually (definitively) fall through, but that's another story.

There's no indication yet that any deal has fallen through. We know it's a real bid, so if it goes tits up I'm sure we'll find out. Wouldn't blame people for walking away (although I do think a lot of the people who are saying they would actually wouldn't) but I'm not going to. I've stuck with the club while Ashley has been in charge, I'd love to see a club that can actually compete at the highest levels. Supporters shouldn't be punished for supporting their club even if the owners are megacunts, and supporting your team doesn't make you complicit in what your owners do outside of football.

If Saudi media isn't reporting anything it might suggest that leaks are water-tight at their end. As well all suspect know anyway. Or they control the media and don't want anything reported in case they end up looking like tits

I don't see why any of that is relevant, especially when the interest has been confirmed. They'd want to turn NUFC into a massively valuable and successful sporting powerhouse, they know the fanbase is there and it's a much cheaper option than other clubs with similar sized fanbases. Makes sense from a business standpoint surely? Buy cheap, increase its value. The Ashley model.
