I think the weaknesses in that area show up even more in the 4231 tbh. The fact Willock is playing when Tonali is out is like a big fkn no no, I know Miley is hurt but still it's a very obvious hole that needs filling.

But like they're so ridiculous they should be completely ignored, judge him on actual progress evidenced by the moves he makes and not the words that leaves his mouth. Like if the club makes progress on and off the pitch due to things he's involved with, cool. If not, question alternatives. But I couldn't give a flying monkeys what he says, it's not important.

No offence, but if that was actually true he wouldn't have had the success he's had in other places. People pleasers like that don't really survive at the level of business, in general I think a lot of you are reading far too much into his words. Like when Eddie speaks to the press, it's largely meaningless. Talking to the media is largely a game you play and like all games it isn't real and I personally wouldn't pay attention to a word that comes out of anyone's mouth at the club. I certainly wouldn't try to apply those words to any sort of analysis of his ability to the job in any way. They're telling the fans what they want them to hear and playing the game, but that doesn't mean that's what they are doing behind closed doors.

The whole disjointed thing is one of my biggest concerns all season long and I've seen nothing to suggest it would change. Like I can talk about formations, style of play all day long but at the end of the day, the primary issue is we haven't looked cohesive as a team.

I think the implication is, that they should be aiming to be that consistently. Which I think is fair enough honestly.

He's said before these last few games are with an eye on next year is my answer to that. Everything he does is with an eye to that and seeing as Trippier isn't going to be here he isn't included. I'm not wildly upset about this or anything, I just think he likes Burn a lot in the current circumstance (team still probably low on confidence etc ) and there isn't a lot more to it than that.

Really don't think Howe is testing anything, I think he wants to play Burn which means either playing Hall out of position or dropping him entirely. Really don't think it's that deep.

Aye, it's one thing to mention the resources but regardless of that he still quite clearly is one of the best managers of my life time. There are very few, if any who could have similar success in the same scenario.

Depends on if we get enough quality brought in the areas behind them. I know this isn't popular but I am very convinced part of the reason strikers haven't performed is because the sources of creation behind them have been is slim to none.
