No links to them. I work with Joel Bland who for all the mocking of him 100% has good sources. Have indirect links with Craig Hope too and could try and have direct links but haven't tried talking to him.

This is what I'm referring to @AyeDubbleYoo Como had a £26m bid accepted earlier in the window, we've bid the same and it's rejected because they want to keep him now.
-
All while arguably the best striker in the world is sat in our training centre with 3 years on his contract. I'd find all of this absolutely hilarious if it was another club.
-
Either way it's been a complete shit show and I'm not sure what further evidence the people still refusing to point fingers at the club need.
-
Guehi and Trafford last summer. Trafford also this summer, reliable reports have said that we could have got him pre-CWC, some refuse to believe that but whatever. Wissa currently has a set price albeit a lot (£50m) We're definitely interested in Thiaw and reports have just yesterday said we're preparing to bid for him...just at the moment Allegri has taken a fancy for him.
-
Guehi, Trafford, Wissa, now Milan want to keep Thiaw...

Done a very good job. They earmarked all of our recruits post takeover - no one has any issue with those players. The difference now is we now can't get the deals done because they're also supposed to magically become a recruitment team, when it's not their job.
-
Worth repeating as well that our scouting team have done a very good job. We currently have no CEO or DoF and the people in charge of being DoF and negotiating are scouts, one of which is 31, and Jamie Ruben. I don't blame Andy Howe and Nickson, the position they're in is ridiculous and I'm sure they're doing their best. The ownership allowing this to be the situation we're in because they had a weak contingency plan and didn't react are ultimately to blame.

Choosing to spend what would likely be more than half the potential Isak money on Jackson would be malpractice. Surely no one will continue to defend the club if that's the plan?
-
As much of a cunt he's been and put a huge dint in our transfer window, we've allowed it and enabled it. All that time wasted on a replacement, potentially still looking to replace him when we need a CB, 2 CMs and another striker when we could have said get fucked you have 3 years left. If we pivot to Nicolas fucking Jackson there's no point in getting 150m for Isak anyway because we'll have already thrown half of it down the drain.
-
Latest rumour I've heard is that Liverpool have asked us to give them the 24/25 EFL Cup we won and we're using all of our resources to see if that's possibile
-
Every day it gets worse and there's 26 days left
-
Gut says it's gonna be a big outlay on Jackson and Wissa, with Isak sold.
-
Honestly I don't think we'd have cared about the optics of Trafford without Mitchell intervening. Would have been another criticised decision that came good like Wood, Gordon, Hall. Otherwise agree though.
-
I think a lot of that is a description of the problem, ie not being opportunistic. Eg Trafford last season, this season Thiaw was available for £20m, now Milan apparently want to play him and now we're in for him, we didn't move for anyone this January, didn't move in a way that caught anyone off guard or was reported last minute. Everything's been telegraphed and head-to-head with big clubs, like you say.
-
I find it hard to believe that the targets themselves are the problem when most of them fit right in with the coups we've already pulled off plenty of times up until June last year. Anything is possible but the bottom line is that something has changed in our ability to get deals done.
-
Calm your tits Septic Peg, I'm only talking about our failed transfers 2024 onwards.
-
Like...have we been blacklisted? Finding it really hard to believe that we're this shit at this.
-
Mad that I have a feeling things are going to get even worse.

NUFC head of recruitment, Andy Howe, whose most recent LinkedIn post reads 'Top 3 Icons: 1. Andreas Villas Boas 2. Niles Crane 3. Kif from Futurama' commented on the £115m deal: "What else could I do?"
-
If we don't keep Isak now, honestly.
-
He's 'flattered' ie friend zoned.
-
This one is the litmus test for how far we can stretch the failed signings thing Wants to come to us specifically No one else really in for him No club with a buy back clause Club willing to sell Fee known No excuses
