  1. She's actually Mom, I can't believe I called her grandma. Also yes, but mainly this.
  2. I just want him to stay and suffer The image of him not getting his move, coming back with his tail between his legs, and us not backing down to any of these cunts tactics is all i want. I can't believe we're even considering being cucked like this.
  3. Don't need Isak funding for either as far as we've been told by the likes of Keiran Maguire. The idea of giving this recruitment team more money is absolutely batshit at this point like. Without exaggeration we're into double figure rejections and failures, with about 7 or 8 of them being strikers, and 9th and/or 10th on our list now being expected to replace Alexander fucking Isak.
  4. Hard to imagine how all of this could have possibly been managed worse if we end up with something like this. Liverpool signing our #1 replacement Then signing our player Then us completely wasting the money
  5. Totally serious. Can't believe you are tbh, you don't make money on the best striker going to then go and spend half of it on a player we'd get nothing back from and will be done as a player in a few years.
  6. You're forgetting that the decision they'd be making at this point (Watkins) would be outside of what they consider an ideal decision. You're talking about it being nigh on their last resort.
  7. You're talking about spending £50m on a player past their peak. PSR is the environment we're in, no good ignoring it or throwing up your hands.
  8. Watkins is very good replacement as a player but would be a suicidal signing for a club in our position. Money immediately down the drain.
  9. I have absolutely no doubt that we'll do it like. The mentality shift that I thought had come in with PIF was a delusion
  10. So this can be spun as us inviting the bid then. Hope it's yet more media nonsense.
  11. Reject everything but an impossibly high bid. Can't put it any clearer than that like, the stand we take on this is more important than anything.
  12. Like I tried to say last time, you can take money out of the club in more ways than profit extraction. Ashley did it mainly through austerity - stopping the club spending revenue it created itself - instead giving deals to his other companies that would have otherwise cost millions for free, for years - and stopping it increasing revenue in the process. Then through not spending on everything from infrastructure, maintenance, hospitality, hires, wages etc - everything basically, but also extended to him trying to withdraw us from the Europa League because of the risk vs reward not being worth it. When the club was relegated TWICE due to his mismanagement and lack of investment the loans he funneled into the club (remembering that he'd saved money through no advertising costs etc in the first place) to protect his asset were spun as something we should be grateful for rather than a consequence of his own destruction of that asset. Very easy to call it "his" money despite him withholding money the club should have rightfully had in the first place. When the club returned to the Premier League and made money through being on the gravy train, selling players etc it was used to pay himself back. Austerity is a method of extraction that's a lot easier to spin as something it isn't while being incredibly destructive. And just for good measure, he also did it explicitly anyway, using the club to give his other businesses interest free loans that hampered our own bottom line and ability to spend money the club had generated. That's the tip of the iceberg. Any attempt to be better was met with acrimony and dismissal. Good manager meant no budget and them going, bad manager meant spend enough to finish 17th. With Ashley there was no chance whatsoever of success in spite of him, let alone because of him.
  13. I don't doubt it, but that bar is extremely low and age belies wisdom when you demonstrate it regardless tbf. You tried to tell us that Ashley - the ultimate austerity football owner - never took money out of the club ffs. On this subject the best way to give you an idea of what you're like to us is to think of what that Israeli in the Gaza thread was like.
  14. We have our own resident Glazer educator who's laid it all out for us. You can insist Glazer was worse all you want, why we're supposed to take the assertion seriously when by your own admission you know nothing about the Ashley-era (and it shows) I'll never know. I'd hazard a guess that your colleagues don't either, but it's par for the course and we found that regularly during the Ashley Out era - most are beyond clueless, but nigh on everyone still has an opinion that they think has worth and we should listen to, you and your mates are no different.
  15. Lads you don't understand, Froggy talked to a fan each of Liverpool, Arsenal, Villa, and Newcastle. That settles the debate and there are no other factors to consider. Slam dunk.
  16. Honestly, I'm at the point where I think that is good news.
  17. The banner was inevitable and is a reaction to the problem, not the problem in of itself
  18. The forum loved him, plenty in the fanbase didn't. Even those who loved him knew he was mental
  19. Incredible really considering I can't think of a club it's happened to more. Their own homegrown players gave done similar multiple times.
