  1. This has an extremely championship feel about it
  2. Presumably they'll need to fit some stair lifts if it's the East Stand as well.
  3. The same people who sit at the match and moan for 90 minutes, you wonder what they're getting out of it and whether they ever wonder that themselves. Surely at some point you have to realise you're either 1. Unhappy or 2. Don't actually like football.
  4. That looks really dangerous
  5. Tbh I think it's only Souness, Pardew, and Bruce who we've all labelled as shit, regardless of any levels involved. We knew the limitations of the likes of Allardyce, McCLaren, probably even Hughton and Rafa to a certain extent.
  6. I think it’s still fine, at our and Everton’s level at the time he was absolutely shit, but he’s absolutely fine for shan clubs like Bolton and Sunderland. I think he’d have eventually been disliked by the Mackems as well tbh.
  7. Not to nosh ourselves off or anything, but we've always been proven right and I'm pretty sure most fanbases are when they know what their managers and players are like. Ironically most of the revisionism I've seen about the likes of Pardew seems to come from those in our own fanbase with the memories of goldfish.
  8. It's often alright, I just watch it because I can't get enough of that sweet content when I'm playing FIFA or whatever. Their rating systems are mad though, you'd have to more or less deliberately kick the ball into your own net to get less than a 7. Cabaye's the most overrated player of the Ashley era like, without a doubt. He was good, but we'd been so starved of success in that area that someone who was competent and had a good free kick on him instantly became the best midfielder we'd had for years. You regularly see him in all time NUFC XIs, which is just batshit crazy.
  9. Same for me with Beardsley. Agree to disagree on Lee probably. I'm a huge Rob Lee fan, so it might be bias, but Rob Lee at the start of 94/95 plus his longevity is still the benchmark for me. Bruno will still almost certainly surpass it for me though.
  10. Citing the amount of games someone has managed is about as damning with faint praise as it gets. You see the appearance stats underneath a panelests' name on a football programme and you know it essentially means, without even being a dick about it, that they were average at absolute best and achieved nothing. It's the stats you see below the likes of Robbie Savage and Steve Claridge. Bruce getting to over 1000 games is only an achievement in the sense that he shouldn't have managed anywhere near that many due to him being consistently absolutely shite.
  11. Lee has the longevity and big moments that Bruno doesn't have yet. Give him another couple of years and I'll agree. Bruno is without question the best midfielder we've had since him though. Having him over Beardsley is not only a step too far but the wrong position anyway. Agree on Cabaye, it's not even a debate.
  12. I was watching that Loaded Mag channel last night and the conversation around Bruno was a bit odd like. On one hand they were saying he goes in their all time NUFC XI, which is a hell of a shout on its own, but imo crazy because the suggestion was that he goes in instead of Beardsley rather than Lee (who wasn't mentioned at all) but then on the other hand they were then posing the question 'is Bruno better than Yohan Cabaye was?' - None of it made any sense.
  13. Keeping Willock in is fine by me like, I'm just thinking that if we do it probably means Bruno being the one that sits deep, which is fine but doesn't get the best out of him.
  14. I have a feeling we'll go with a midfield 3 of Longstaff, Joelinton, Bruno in this one.
  15. And the flag nonces wonder why there's a stereotype attached to them
  16. Holy shit, the Antonio one. Jesus Christ!!!
  17. Seemed pretty obvious that Scamacca didn't celebrate because he knew it hit is hand. Crazy decision
  18. In that example it's if you've chosen that as your bonus match. I made the same mistake.
  19. Iwobi's probably had like 80% of Everton's possession
  20. They're clueless going forward like, all percentage balls into the box.
  21. Was gonna say, Man United look like the low block team here
  22. Bad news everyone, McTominay can't play against us
  23. Aye, it didn't even hit his hand did it?
  24. Both teams look absolutely shite like. It's all about the performance on the day but it's definitely within our capability to beat both of them.
  25. PIF and Bruce obviously, because we had that, he gets sacked and you hire Howe.
