  1. Let’s hope they can convince him, or it’s a case of all the consortium being agreed, PIF could well have a Middle East heavy hitter they want for it as well. They seem prepared to put trust in Staveley and Jamie Rueben though which is promising.

  2. A friend of a friend who does work with a capital equity firm who he also has close ties to, a worst kept secret type thing.

Their (the consortium’s) logic is quite sound though, he basically ran the premier league when it’s revenue was a few hundred million all the way to it making billions. Ideal for what they want to achieve for NUFC.

  3. They’ve had discussions with Richard Scudamore about taking the Chief Exec role. Very clever, someone with the influence and standing to keep every other club in check.

He’s got some ongoing thing with Australian football though, not sure if that’s an issue or not.

  4. My dislike for him isn’t down to his day to day running of the club, it was the needless comment about the training ground, he voluntarily gaslit the supporters when he knew full well how bad it was.

  5. Regardless of where he caught it, the players and coaching staff should have a no contact policy with supporters hanging around outside the training ground. Just asking for trouble.

I’d imagine every person he came across between his hotel and the training ground will have wanted to shake his hand. Like a sitting duck.

Let’s just hope they did enough work this week and that it sticks tomorrow.

  6. He’s got to work with what he has for a few months, makes sense to build their confidence to try and get as much from them as possible between now and January.

  7. The bibs are no indication of a starting line up, they’ll swap them around depending on what they are training on.

For example, if you’re trying to drill the defence and midfield, you’ll pick your best attackers to go up against them etc..

Also wouldn’t be surprised to see someone promoted from the reserves, if they fit a system he wants to play better than the established first teamers, he’ll pick them.

Be surprised if Shelvey gets a look in, he’ll be blowing out his arse after 5 minutes with a high press game.

  8. He's a fucking disgrace. Shearer should keep his mouth shut when it comes to him as he's losing respect of the fans talking about what a great guy he is non stop.

  9. It was unprofessional on both sides, ours shouldn’t have leaked shit to the media and he shouldn’t have told his mate to write that story for the BBC.

I’m glad it didn’t work out, we were not a suitable match. The cunt went out of his way to embarrass the club, for a bit of short term gain within his current setup.

When he does look for another job that won’t go unnoticed.

A fortnight ago I tried to briefly explain the geopolitics of the Gulf region but failed due to the lack of journalistic writing skills on my part. This article is just extremely heartwarming and is filled with facts some of you could be reading for the first time. These facts are well-known in the Middle East but are distorted by the Giant Qatari media when it's reported in the west. It's worth noting that the Qataris are not just the owners of AlJazeera Media Network (including BeIN) but also a host of western-based news organizations that specialize in Middle East-related news. The Qatari media empire built over the past two decades is certainly one of the greatest achievements of any middle eastern state.

Whether the points the article makes are true or not, overall it felt like I was reading a piece of Saudi propaganda. You don’t just skim over the murder of a journalist like that while throwing in a few snippets to discredit the guy.

So what if he had a political agenda? He didn’t deserve to be butchered in an embassy while his fiancé waited outside.

We’re not obliged as supporters of the club to get involved with this shit no matter how the media or internet folk would like us to believe. We should steer well clear of it to be honest.

Times saying we’re looking at Brozovic and De Vrij. Yes fucking please.

That would cripple Inter, be like Liverpool losing Van Dijk and Henderson

  12. He was brought in to stop it, eventually failed at his remit, so now they have no need for him.

Creates a nice little narrative on his way out. Expect the negative articles to continue for a time, things will eventually move on though. Nothing to worry about.

  13. The title of the video is just a tad over the top but some nice touches, especially in around the midfield.

If you think that over the last few years, our movement has been non existent, we’ve been unfit and unprepared, it’s not impossible to imagine him turning into a more important member of the squad.

Well they'll need someone to switch the lights on so the new person kin find the offices

I've heard from a few people on the inside that he's quite capable, plus he's probably been doing the CEO role along with several other important duties so that Ashley could have saved a few quid.

Although on the flip side, nobody had a gun to his head when he made those comments about the training ground. He was totally complicit in the Ashley regime and by his own comments fully agrees with that line of thinking.

He has to go as soon as possible.

  15. Eddie Howe’s training bullshit bingo:

    “Good tracking back Jonjo”

    “It’s not a criticism..”

    ”I’m delighted with the effort”

“I couldn’t have asked more from them”

    and so on.. ?

Have you see our corporate hospitality. They're all riding the gravy train so suck up to the ones that keep them in the style their celebrity status demands.

Ah I know a few of the people working for us in that area. Of the corporate boxes, very few of them were permanent residents.

  17. Jesus, when you look back on how Bruce did things, it was just negligence from top to bottom.

The minute he got in here he was fucking about with the attitude of “pay me”, he didn’t give two shits about the club, what people thought of him while backed up by his mates in the press.

They knew all along what he was about, they were totally comfortable in peddling that nonsense about him being a great manager because they have utter disdain for clubs like us and Aston Villa.

It would only ever been if he’d managed a Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs or Man Utd that the truth wound have been written about him, of course.. if it was happening to one of their beloved clubs. But the reality is that he’d never be let near places like that as a manager.

Ending up at places where things are not well is a sign that he’s a parasite.

Eddie Howe on the other hand, I have absolutely no doubt that he’ll leave this club in a better place, he’s everything that a person like Bruce isn’t.

Why are people not talking about Bruce to Rangers. Tons of experience and nice bloke.

Bruce wouldn’t survive a month up there, first night in the chipper.. “a battered mars bar!?!?!? What witchcraft is this?!?”

His arteries would be fully clogged up within 3 weeks.

  19. Yep very interesting, the thing is even if he is the real deal that means it’ll only be a temporary job until Liverpool becomes free. It could even go on to have a knock on effect of destabilising Klopp if he’s really doing well.

Along with the news of Michael Edward leaving, they suddenly seem a little bit vulnerable to external factors.

Its not really about Villa at all, and this is precisely the reason I’m delighted he didn’t end up here.
