  1. Brilliant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lAzvDMUVEk
  2. Apart from Wolves they couldn’t wish for a better away game.
  3. Don’t disagree, but still casts huge doubts on managers judgement of players in my book.
  4. Not sure what impact the local election results will have on any new stadium planning application. Think things just got a lot more complicated potentially with no majority party.
  5. The East Stand concourse at half time was just the Andy Cole song on repeat for 15 minutes. How times have changed.
  6. What’s your thoughts on the Lecce centre back Tiago Gabriel?
  7. I think Dom comes across as a decent lad on their videos and would imagine it’s just badly worded. I def think Ryder has nailed his colours to the mast regarding Howe lately. Howe in his pre Brighton conference mentioned committed players, so think the sentiment of the question regarding Gordon was perfectly legitimate.
  8. I was told Ashworth rated him and fancied him for Man U role, but no chance of him leaving area. Still find it crazy how he was put in charge of outgoings when the only big deal was Isak at the end of window, yes it was all hands to the pump, but doesn’t sit right and partly forms my opinion why I think Howe shoulders a large chunk of the blame last summer.
  9. I can’t really say mate but despite the dig from the muppet above it’s definitely true. Ashworth is a big fan of Howe as well and they got on well. Think he just didn’t have as much autonomy as he thought when taking the job, more to do with PCP why he left and of course the Mancs are a big draw unfortunately.
  10. Nickson was Ashley’s man to negotiate transfers, flew out to Atlanta to seal the Almiron deal, which was a big one for us at the time. Just know Ashworth rates him, it was Nickson who pushed for Paqueta and Bruno in first Jan window after takeover.
  11. Nickson is brilliant at talent identification and Ashworth wanted to take him to Manure, luckily he likes his lifestyle up here. Unfortunately, since Ashworth went his influence has waned, which culminated in the Howe’s overseeing a shit show last summer. It’s to be hoped Wilson isn’t a patsy and exerts real influence this summer.
  12. Says it all when members of that board are more interested in connectivity, than actual things that would improve the atmosphere.
  13. Would have been easier to change the manager reading that article on Howe, some very damning lines.
  14. His press comments about going with experience and players he trusts won’t have been well received by Hall, Barnes and the new signings. I mean Barnes absolutely should be used as an impact sub, if he’s finally come to that conclusion, hallelujah. I’ve accepted he’s probably here next season and will back the club regardless, I’ve done it with worse managers for 40 years. But it’s not risk free and I’d argue based on current results and performance, no lesser risk than going the new manager route. It’s a cheaper and less upheaval route undoubtedly, but when it’s already been reported that we’re scouting players for a Howe team, it might not look such a risk free decision if we’re rooted in the bottom 3 late September. Hope it’s the right decision but have big reservations, I maintain he’s run his course here, the football is shit and we treat the ball like a hot potato every week. Big summer ahead and the profile of player recruited will tell us everything before a ball has been kicked. If we don’t get a technical midfielder and a wide forward who can beat his man with a trick, it’s nailed on more of the same.
  15. Be mad to pay big money for him if we can get Trafford, looked a liability yesterday.
  16. Seems to be plenty actually standing in level 7 now when they get the chance
  17. We won’t be signing 2 strikers it’ll be Woltemade who goes back to Germany. Selling either of the 2 requires big bollocks though, both have the potential to make us look stupid at their next clubs. Ideally we get rid of Wissa but financially it’ll make no sense, unless one of the Saudi clubs not linked to PIF come to our rescue.
  18. Big win for the manager and fair play, took balls to leave out those players today if it hadn’t gone well.
  19. Stan Collymore esque for those of a certain vintage.
  20. Quite happy with that like, take it you weren’t at the match then, or did you post that whilst having a half time shit?
  21. Think I’m more outraged with 200 million worth of signings on the bench and we have a front 3 including Murphy and Willock potentially. If this is Howe’s team, how the hell can he be entrusted with a rebuild, which I don’t believe for one moment will happen. Fully behind him for 90 mins today but where the fuck is this going.
  22. The one theme from the press conference was results. I’d still be surprised if he survives a further 4 game losing streak and the damage that will do. His comments re Hall and regarding number of players being ideal to bring in are worrying, a leopard doesn’t change his spots and stories in the press this week that insiders have riled at the level of rebuild needed, suggests if Howe stays it will be limited. I hope we win today to bury any lingering doubts about our safety, but it’ll not change my mind that he’s not the right man at this point.
