  1. I noticed during the week there were a lot of so called supporters getting very aggressive with Liam Kennedy, and demanding to know more background info on these 2 fans taking legal action. Now I could understand if the action was being funded by fellow fans as originally floated by wor fund, however these 2 blokes appear to be doing it off their own backs. Therefore, it really beggars belief that some cretin on twitter would be trying to establish what companies one of these guys had worked for. As much as I love this club, there’s a real element of our support that I can’t stand who do nothing but criticise when some folk decide to do something.
  2. Reading that sounds like it's at least 2 years away. I think the next round of tv deals are due to be negotiated this year, but stand to be corrected. If they accept MENA no longer works they’ll have to deal with Saudis.
  3. C’mon lads this is the only topic worth discussing, may aswell mothball the rest of the board it’s irrelevant. Some interesting bits in this article including PIF putting together a tv bid worth more than the entire MENA contract to force takeover through. Also still ongoing political pressure, maybe along with this new media company that is the key to breaking deadlock. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/revealed-big-saudi-move-takeover-19242951
  4. Great reminder of this article posted on nufc 360. Tells us everything we already know albeit 8 years earlier. How this bloke has been employed by a PL club beggars belief. https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2011/nov/30/steve-bruce-sunderland-sacked
  5. Another good nights work under this dope I see, and another couple of soft tissue injuries. This clown deserves no credit when we win, and maximum criticism when we lose. The most amateurish and clueless management set up in the league bar none.
  6. Pretty much a combination of Ashley and PIF coming on the scene meant BZG moved on. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/takeover-never-was-bin-zayed-19234285
  7. Think Ashley was to blame for these not taking over us. His interview in the Daily Mail with Samuel give the game away when he said “what’s an extra 10 million”. I wish Derby all the best, however for our sanity I hope they don’t turn out to be big players as it will be very hard to stomach.
  8. Absolutely spot on nothing more than more delaying tactics by PL to request more time. Whatever the legal arguments are for giving the PL an extra 2 weeks, we all know it’s bull s***. These lads deserve everyone’s full support including from NUST. Newcastle Consortium Supporters @NCSL1892 · 37m EPL and Big Six seem to move quickly when they choose! Press reports that “accelerated talks” under way for scheme that allegedly will deny NUFC of concluding the PIF takeover. NCSL’s legal team reject EPL’s pleas for more time. We remain UNITED in this fight for transparency!
  9. Think it’s clear who’s really running the show now, Liverpool and Man U selected Masters for a reason. The PL’s denial that they knew about these proposals are also a blatant lie, Hoffman and Masters are looking more complicit in this project big picture the longer information keeps leaking out. I think its abundantly clear what happened with the toon takeover also. PL and 'Big 6' had plans for this change to give powers to them Toon takeover comes about and the 'Big 6' realise this could bring NUFC into the top 6 and so disrupt their plans 'Big 6' put pressure on PL to try and delay/make it go away Bein also put pressure on PL PL know consortium won't fail the O&D test, so only option is to keep throwing delays in and not make a decision, hoping consortium will get frustrated and pull out NDG and RD should have a field day with the PL, so much info leaking out now. People in PL are getting nervous, hence the leaks. Agree with all this we just have to hope there is a legal route to get it overturned, or the PL are backed into a place where they have no option but to approve.
  10. Think it’s clear who’s really running the show now, Liverpool and Man U selected Masters for a reason. 11. Hoffman seems very cosy with big 6 going by that story, certainly plays into the narrative that the takeover went tits up when he arrived on the scene in June.
  12. It's a strange one, Caulkin has claimed previously the BZG talk was "bollocks from the start": Unsure what to believe from him or anyone else at this point. Yeah I can’t make my mind up on BZG only time will tell. I do know from listening to old heatonian and Neil Mitchell that they tried to get Midhat to persuade the Sheik to come back in for us, but after BZG found out PIF interest was real they couldn’t compete. The said 2 individuals maintain BZG had the finance, but it remains to be seen whether 60 million for Derby is a more realistic estimate of their financial clout. There was also talk that though it was BZG buying the club, it would then lead to us becoming Dubai’s club which would lead to other prominent individuals within Dubai getting involved, I’m presuming the Maktoum’s. Certainly would have took my chances with these over American ownership though, and will be very interesting to see what we missed out on.
  13. Be interesting to see how BZG turn out with Derby, by all accounts they had some good plans for NUFC. Think the Midhat business turned the thing into a joke, but it may be one we regret if Saudi deal doesn’t come off.
  14. Does this mean that the Saudi interest is still there? Hope so mind you the ambassador could just be a mag!! It’s never gone they’ve merely taken a step back until it’s sorted.
  15. Liam Kennedy also stated that these 2 supporters wrote to the PL in the summer, therefore they have had more than enough time. The expert legal advice is 7 to 14 days is more than enough time to reply to letter before action. He also said these 2 blokes are credible, and one of them has won a far bigger anti competition case than this one. Final snippet was Mike Ashley could not go down this route of legal action.
  16. Yeah think that is important, is the fans letter just another route to apply pressure whilst negotiations are ongoing.
  17. Hand forced with Shelvey injury, otherwise the useless cunt would still be picking him.
  18. Class act just needs to stay fit and get a run of games.
  19. Liam Kennedy @LiamJKennedy23 · 59m Hebburn Town striker Cedwyn Scott is on trial with Newcastle United. The prolific non-league striker, also eyed by Sunderland in recent weeks, is spending four weeks with the club's under-23 setup. He's scored 21 goals in 16 games this season.
  20. Good to know your safe and well mimms, so I’m presuming his dm request was his way of discovering your identity. Certainly not what you want on a Sunday morning, have you checked behind your wheelie bin yet ?
  21. At 2:52 in the morning aswell mimms was probably fast asleep, or was he did he unknowingly click on this request in the early hours. I would like to hear more from Charlie to see what his mindset was.
  22. If they thought that wouldn't we already know as it would be all over. Quite clearly they dont think that. Yeah and by all accounts this is the quickest route to force it through the courts, as opposed to other options available to them. If this route fails though It’ll be interesting to see which route they go down. Liam Kennedy did state if they took legal action the full way they’re confident they’d win, however timescales are important. My one major fear is this just turns into Ashley v the PL the longer it goes, I’m not sure PIF will still be waiting in the wings this time next year.
  23. It’s a proper mess, and I for one won’t believe it until they put penn to paper. Penn’s gone mate let it go.
  24. Don’t think Ashley is prepared to give up on Saudi deal as quick as some on here. I would suggest he wouldn’t be paying hefty legal fees either if it was over. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/revealed-how-mike-ashley-returned-19192458
