  1. Can i ask what it would take for you at this point to believe the Saudis are still at the table ? Maybe MBS riding down barrack road on a camel wielding his sword perhaps ? Actually don’t answer these questions I fucking despair.
  2. The PL are certainly going to a lot of trouble to fight a takeover based on a blurring of the lines of ownership. With a bid which has millions of investment lined up during a global pandemic, heavyweight political support, and fan backing, it sort of makes you wonder who’s agenda they are serving. Of course we all know who’s agenda that is, but I would imagine it’ll be pretty cringeworthy watching the PL trying to dress this up as acting in the clubs and fans own interest. If Masters is called as a witness where home and dry judging by his past performances when questioned.
  3. Steve Hastie nails it every time. steve @oldheatonian · 1h What can be holding the @premierleague up other than a sudden mistrust of an arbitration process. A process that they previously tried to force on PIF. Just Agree on the panel members and get it done. No reason for stonewalling or delay. #nufc
  4. Well all these miserable cunts who say the Saudis are no longer at the table, can officially wind their necks back in after today.
  5. This lad has potential welcome aboard. Maybe 2nd richest family in U.K. would have been less controversial though
  6. Interesting. But please dont let this start to play out in the media again. Looking at that though, it looks like new year could be when the case is heard. Nah you missed the killer line - 'Any such process would require pre-hearing disclosure from both parties and sources close to the failed deal suspect the Premier League is anxious to avoid the need to make such revelations. So according to the PL handbook, both sides have 14 days to assign people, and then another 14 days for chair and then 14 days to disclose info. If PL don't want to disclose this could be done and dusted in time for Jan transfer window This is clearly where the confidence comes from, certainly ties in with everything mimms has posted.
  7. It's been widely reported that the only issue is whether the KSA / MbS should be disclosed as a director, so that's very likely to be the only issue they're arbitrating on. Do you think they’ll get arbitration on the whole deal and not the single issue of MBS/govt. After rejecting arbitration on the single point it would seem that’s what they’ll be aiming for. I still think a major point in our favour is the PL’s own rule book, which correct me if I’m wrong directed them to reject deal if all information wasn’t provided, as opposed to kicking into long grass ?
  8. Almiron >> Cork Brucey’s dream team taking shape.
  9. Hopefully the Trust get behind the lads at NCSL, they deserve everyone’s support. Peter Clennell @ClennellPeter · 8m Replying to @oldheatonian and @nufctrust The Council discussed whether we could assist @NCSL1892 , I spoke with Keith Patterson who is keen to display solidarity - I have communicated our discussion back to the NUST Board as the Council are not there to make decisions, that is what the elected Board are there to do.
  10. The PL cannot just "never let this through". There are rules, and if they do not conform to the rules (whether they are 'their own' rules or not) they can be persuaded to do so, by legal means. That is exactly the stage we are now at. Nobody said it would be quick, or easy, but I do not understand these "throwing in the towel" types. Do they REALLY think like that, or are they just trying to wind us up? Are they like that in their own lives . . always giving up when there is no reason to do so? Maybe some people don’t have the energy for it any more. There is absolutely every chance the PL win the legal case. Maybe they will, but no one should be telling other supporters to give it up.
  11. This bloke has to be the biggest prick ever to have covered NUFC. If there’s a negative angle he’ll find it, what he appears to be missing in this pearler is the fact arbitration normally occurs after a decision has been made. Luke Edwards @LukeEdwardsTele · 1h We already knew Ashley’s legal case was active. Not confident that will be successful either but there is more weight behind it. The problem is the refusal to go to independent arbitration then withdrawing. That seems to be the rock everything hits legally but let’s wait and see.
  12. Couldn’t sum it up any better than this, I’m quite sure O’Donoghue and De Marco are aware of the basics. Steve @oldheatonian reporters and lawyers dipping in with opinion questioning a legal case they have no direct involvement in and more importantly without sighting of the case file nor spoken to the party bringing the case or any members of their legal team. Wow. That stirring the #nufc fan pot
  13. Quite interesting that they’ve told them to get in line behind clubs action, gives the impression that their legal resources may be stretched. Kennedy confirmed just before this won’t happen, also interestingly the PL have sent numerous communications answering questions they weren’t even asked. Neither case gets to court and this will be settled in my opinion.
  14. Don’t know about anyone else but I’m loving these dots, give me more fucking dots......
  15. Mimms was spot on this is just a sideshow. @LiamJKennedy23 · 21m ⚫⚪ For those asking about #NUFC official club action, PL today confirmed it - but not in way anyone expected. In fact, it's angered many close to #NUFCTakeover for 'breaching confidentiality'. ⚫⚪ Now we know TWO legal actions running concurrently.
  16. This, bit like when Masters spoke at the fans meeting, some people just accepted what he said as being true and give up. I don’t think these lads will roll over that easily. The fact PL have responded tells you there taking this seriously.
  17. Newcastle Consortium Supporters · 3h Thanks for everyone’s support! We can do this together. Today is another day in the fight to get answers. We will update fans when we can - stay as one - fans, team, seller, buyer! Stay UNITED Zebra
  18. We should hear whether they’ve at least replied today. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/pivotal-day-fan-legal-fight-19292028
  19. Bottom line is PL don’t want a sovereign wealth fund owning a club outside the top 6. If it was a 3 billion pound deal from the Saudis for Mancs or scousers it would have been done a long time ago. The deal has been kicked into long grass by PL, as it looks by their own rules they’re not confident about rejecting it. Project big picture sets out what the top 6 want, control over who can buy other clubs, unofficially that has already taken place with this takeover. I would imagine there is a trail of communications regarding this that the PL do not want disclosed. Maybe the NCSL threat of action is their worst nightmare, Liam Kennedy thinks they will not want this to go to court. Certainly the reported penalties for being found guilty of anti competition rules would be enough to make them very nervous if there are damaging e mails floating about.
  20. I can understand people being pessimistic it’s in our DNA, however I agree with you these people are major players with the finance, political influence and now the best legal counsel representing them. I’m cautiously optimistic, and think everything mimms has said ties in with Liam Kennedy’s ‘join the dots’ quote.
  21. Can you answer one question mimms. Is your information around the deal based on info you solely have in relation to the NCSL action, or is your confidence also based around other stuff eg Ashley / De Marco action ?
  22. gary metcalfe @gazm47 · 2h @LiamJKennedy23 Can you explain to us how your appeal and the appeal of Mike Ashley are different and what is the point of having two bodies applying legal action? Thanks 1 Liam Kennedy @LiamJKennedy23 Replying to @gazm47 It's not my action. It's NCSL. The line of attack for NCSL case is anti-competition. MA was initially restriction of trade, I believe. More actions against PL the better I say, more chance of clarity. Liam Kennedy @LiamJKennedy23 Replying to @BlackAliblack1 Things are likely to move on this week no doubt. Which direction, who knows?
