Couldn’t sum it up any better than this, I’m quite sure O’Donoghue and De Marco are aware of the basics. Steve @oldheatonian reporters and lawyers dipping in with opinion questioning a legal case they have no direct involvement in and more importantly without sighting of the case file nor spoken to the party bringing the case or any members of their legal team. Wow. That stirring the #nufc fan pot

Quite interesting that they’ve told them to get in line behind clubs action, gives the impression that their legal resources may be stretched. Kennedy confirmed just before this won’t happen, also interestingly the PL have sent numerous communications answering questions they weren’t even asked. Neither case gets to court and this will be settled in my opinion.

Mimms was spot on this is just a sideshow. @LiamJKennedy23 · 21m ⚫⚪ For those asking about #NUFC official club action, PL today confirmed it - but not in way anyone expected. In fact, it's angered many close to #NUFCTakeover for 'breaching confidentiality'. ⚫⚪ Now we know TWO legal actions running concurrently.

Bottom line is PL don’t want a sovereign wealth fund owning a club outside the top 6. If it was a 3 billion pound deal from the Saudis for Mancs or scousers it would have been done a long time ago. The deal has been kicked into long grass by PL, as it looks by their own rules they’re not confident about rejecting it. Project big picture sets out what the top 6 want, control over who can buy other clubs, unofficially that has already taken place with this takeover. I would imagine there is a trail of communications regarding this that the PL do not want disclosed. Maybe the NCSL threat of action is their worst nightmare, Liam Kennedy thinks they will not want this to go to court. Certainly the reported penalties for being found guilty of anti competition rules would be enough to make them very nervous if there are damaging e mails floating about.

I can understand people being pessimistic it’s in our DNA, however I agree with you these people are major players with the finance, political influence and now the best legal counsel representing them. I’m cautiously optimistic, and think everything mimms has said ties in with Liam Kennedy’s ‘join the dots’ quote.

gary metcalfe @gazm47 · 2h @LiamJKennedy23 Can you explain to us how your appeal and the appeal of Mike Ashley are different and what is the point of having two bodies applying legal action? Thanks 1 Liam Kennedy @LiamJKennedy23 Replying to @gazm47 It's not my action. It's NCSL. The line of attack for NCSL case is anti-competition. MA was initially restriction of trade, I believe. More actions against PL the better I say, more chance of clarity. Liam Kennedy @LiamJKennedy23 Replying to @BlackAliblack1 Things are likely to move on this week no doubt. Which direction, who knows?

Important one though for anyone who still thinks deal is dead. Geordie_Down_Under85 @GeordieInOz85 · 19m Correct me if I'm wrong but the PL can effectively tell them to piss off as they have no legal right to respond? Can you see a positive outcome from this Liam and what do you think the next few weeks will bring in terms of progression if any? 1 2 Liam Kennedy @LiamJKennedy23 Replying to @GeordieInOz85 They've been responding, of that there is no doubt. And of course they could. At the very least this is all adding to the pressure on PL re the deal, which remains live. It could also potentially prove significant.

This thread also makes reference to potential consequences of PL losing court case. @5yntax_Err0r If taken to court and found guilty of breaking competition law the @premierleague could be fined 10% of its total income. For an organisation making billions that will be a significant number running into hundreds of millions. #nufc takeover 6:50 am · 14 Nov 2020·Twitter for Android 5 Retweets 1 Quote Tweet 49 Likes Ian @5yntax_Err0r · 14h Replying to @5yntax_Err0r And then you still have one of (if not the best) sports QC's waiting in the wings to challenge you on all other aspects of what has gone on. I wouldn't like to be in Mr Hoffmans and Masters shoes at the moment. 1 6 Ian @5yntax_Err0r · 14h They made an almighty mistake in underestimating the response from the fans, let's see if they are about to make an even bigger one. The waiting games is over and legally you can't hide behind confidentiality. 1 16 Ian @5yntax_Err0r · 14h You had no right to fail this takeover so your plan appears to have been to stall indefinitely and frustrate in the hope the problem would just go away... Well, that hasn't worked, so it's approve the takeover or prepare to face the consequences.

Your probably right but not sure that will do them any favours after asking for more time. I thought that from the start, 'they haven't done themselves favours by just ignoring it all', but they've proven time and time again that they couldn't care less about how they come off. It's obviously more benefit(somehow) for them to ignore this whole thing than it is for them to let it go through. I suppose I'm just negative as f*** and I can't see this ever ending in our favour, even with all this 'legal action'. Probably the best outlook, but hopefully we’ll be pleasantly surprised. On this occasion we seem to have some real big guns in our corner, and I don’t think they’ve given up yet.

Your probably right but not sure that will do them any favours after asking for more time. Exactly. In a way, I'm quite pleased the fans consortium gave the premier league more time. It looks better for us that way and worse for them if they still try to delay. Yeah this week looks like it could be interesting. Wouldn’t say I’m overly confident, but think this is a real serious attempt the more you hear. I’m also more convinced than ever that this is happening with input from buyer and seller, if so the PL have a formidable legal team against them. No way these fans pay for this action without either financial backing, or full assurance that buyers are still there and ready to proceed with purchase.

Bubbling along going off what I listened to last night. Once again listen to wraiths podcast from last night, Mick Edmondson from back page speaks about it from 1:07. I’ll not post the link due to people’s opinion of Wraith, however if your interested in takeover it’s a must listen. Cheers for that mate - well worth a listen! He’s a sound lad Mick! Aye his story about having covid was a bit harrowing, however seems on good form now.

A great example of this came in that small snippet of Almiron against the Argies, cutting in from the left beating players and winning a penalty. This numpty plays him on the right and now in some sort of deep lying midfield role. He’s also now rendered St Max almost anonymous in games with this 10 role. Not only does he have no tactics, he can’t even play players in there correct positions. Square pegs in round holes is the Bruce way, he hasn’t got a fucking clue.

Don't know. I joined up about 18 months ago. Didn't renew my 1 year subscription but they still gave me voting rights at the last round of elections. Does anyone know what's happened to the £40k or whatever they've taken from the 15,000 lifetime and 1 year memberships they sold? In the Trusts bank account...... Then every year NUST produce annual accounts to show what the money is spent on, what's in the bank etc. Then they are professionally audited by a chartered accountant. Then they are submitted to the Financial Conduct Authority. Can you reveal if the trust are still in touch with consortium, not asking you to reveal details but would be interested to know ? Alex has spoken with Amanda Staveley previously a number of times, she knows where he is if she/they want to get in touch again. ?
