just pass the ball more. He attracts 2 or 3 of the opposition all the time, because they're scared of what he can do. That creates space so please use it. Draw the players in and then a simple pass inside or outside and that's 2 or 3 players out of the attack. He reminds me of a player in my youngest son's team. Was fast and skilful but never passed, the rest of his teammates stopped trying to support him as they knew they weren't going to get the ball. He left at the end of the season to go onto a better team apparently but my sons team are just happy that they could actually play as a team again.

Im going to avoid this place until the new year......it will be suicidal in here by boxing day. Have a great Xmas all and see you in 2022....hope its better than this shite year!

top 12 sides - write them off and anything else is a bonus. From now to end of the season the battle is a mini league of 6-8 clubs. Forget everything else. its what we do against the teams in the mini league. Next 3 games for us are wipes out - keep the score down and try to build on some performances.
-
choice of pass is our major weakness. We are trying to thread precise balls when coming out of defence, giving it away and 5-10 seconds later a goal goes in. Manquillo ball to Murphy for the 3rd goal - case in point. Its a pass that if it does come up, gives us no advantage at all. Screws the pass up and 3 passes later - Leicester score. Our passing has been weak for years but boy we can't even do 5-10 yard passes now!
-
so JoeLinton, Shelvey, Hayden and Saint Max in midfield Lewis, Fernandez, Shar and Manquillo in defence. Who in attack, Wilson ( I think he needs support) and another?
-
I agree but look on the bench, who would you put in CM?
-
We are so weak in the tackle and have no street savvy about us. Still, just got to hope other teams lose when we lose, so it keeps it close.
-
everyone did, that was the problem!

Remember going at 13 and standing behind the concrete supports that were dotted about the terracing, thinking that would be a safe place. After the 1st goal went in, you realised you were better off just being carried by the crowd or stand just in front of the concrete supports so you could be at the top of the surge. It was a sort of rights of passage to becoming a regular on the terraces.

8 weeks they have been here and the impatience is something to behold by some. Already going at them, why dont you see how things go for a change. For all you know they may have lined up transfer already and just waiting for the window to open. Or as you say they haven't thought about it as yet. Who knows but give them some space man and just hang on for the ride!

If you flip the table upside down then we are 2nd top!
-
we are 6 points off 12 places - its not as bad as some make out. Get through December and then we will push on - think we will finish 13-14th.

wonder if the process is progressing and they have let Michael E know he is out of the running and so he puts out a story with Matt L? Looks like our owners have got savvy very quickly about how the football press work after the Emery experience. Leaks have also stopped. Charnley likely the source, hence his quick removal after Howe was appointed.

8 weeks ago, we had a manager who was a fraud, an owner who wasnt interested, a group of players that weren't fit and a fan base at war with itself. Fast forward 8 weeks and its the complete opposite. The next 8 weeks could be transformational for this club, get it right and we won't have to be looking down anymore, only up!

Stick with back 4 that finished the game and Dubs. Now it's just midfield to tinker with.
-
Waiting in car due to traffic. We battled and deserved to win. Lewis was superb today. Stick with that back 4 and build. Think we will go down unless our luck changes. Clark, never use again 9 mins in man, insane.

Feel an announcement is coming..........
-
Silence is golden.........wonder if Lee was leaking to the press as his termination did come rather quick, considering papers were suggesting he wanted to stay only a few days before the NUFC statement?
-
So a DOF is the new replacement for the new manager anxiety. Chill DOF will be announced this week......feel it in my bones!
-
A page on 'Who's height is this?' - come on guys, you can spend some of the weekend away from the keyboard you know!
-
well said, just look at the Longstaff's for the opposite example of staying at NUFC when for the past 14 years have been no progression plan from youth to 1st team!
-
Could have been Rafa's Black and White army but its now Eddie's Black and White army and so I want the top six to be unbeatable so that everyone else keeps close to the toon!

night https://www.nufc.co.uk/nufc-tv/latest-videos/tindall-talks-after-magpies-draw-with-brentford/ day Same issues but who do you want as player - which person gives you more confidence* * a bit unfair on Bruce as last game but pick any post match interview and its the same
-
I agree but the rot is slowly being eradicated. Im not concerned with the league position at this point, Im more concerned about setting the foundations and the start of the rebuilding. NUFC has been neglected for so long. Yesterday we turned 20-30% possession football and 0-1 shots at goal into 52% possession, 29 shots at goal and 9 on target, and restricted the opposition to 4 shots on target. In terms of enjoyment from a match, yesterday was at another level, the crowd were engaged. Hopefully we have enough time to escape relegation but if we dont, Id rather go down with games like yesterday than Bruce ball where the only thing you had to look forward to was going for a piss so you could escape the shite being served up!
