Big difference is that he has a top class reputation, something that’s never been associated with Ashley.

He is but surely Gayle would work harder and close down more than big Joe!? Joelington offers absolutely nothing full stop. The bloke is an absolute joke of a footballer.

I agree. I do think he is doing it intentionally, however, it will come to bite him in the arse if the club don’t win the arbitration. He will be hounded by the Twitter brigade. Not a good look for a top level QC. If the club wins the arbitration it will be the exact opposite and his Twitter feed will be full of how brilliant he is. He’s not daft by a long way he will know exactly what the score is. He will have to shut his twitter down if this ends in farce. I do wonder if he has thought this through as he will now be well aware of what is going on with the fanbase with regards to his tweets and likes. Be very surprised if he doesn’t know the score tbh.

Sounds like a corker one with the three amigos still part owners. Nothing to get excited about.

I think he is just feeling confident of getting a win, and I highly doubt he knows it's all over and in the bag. He has nothing to lose with all of the twitter winks either. If he doesnt win the case it's not exactly going to diminish his professional standing. Going to result in him being bombarded by the Twitter brigade on his account though, which won’t be a good look and I’d be surprised if someone of his standing would want that. We will see though.
-
Like someone said earlier, he either knows something or hes a bellend winding fans up. He will be hounded on twitter if it falls through. Cannot see him setting himself up for that, but, time will tell.
-
Ha ha I think he’s just liked it! He’ll have to come off twitter if this doesn’t go through! Aye, him, Keith from NCSL and Liam Kennedy will have the twitter haters on the rampage if it doesn't. Think I'll keep of twitter for a while if it doesn't, as the split in the fanbase on twitter will be massive.

Douglas just relaying what others have said and speculated. We might hear something at the end of February/start of March. Probably the result of the arbitration? Yeah ties in with that. Good we can then put it to bed once and for all and hopeully with a bright way forward. Sick to death of all this willit/will it not shit this last year.

Unfortunately with him being on loan don’t think he would be able to play against them.
-
you were saying ;D They won't win the league like but they've seemed fairly decent from what i remember with the new man Results tell a different story mind.
-
You're right most at home though, going to be interesting how they get on in the return fixtures starting this weekend. They have been lucky that the top teams have been dropping points at the same time during this period, which has meant they are still in touch of the playoffs. Would take some run for them to be promoted automatically and they've not shown any signs of doing that. way weaker overall this season, including themselves, compared to the last two looking in from afar. Yeah without a doubt

Going to be interesting and the game on Saturday against Doncaster is huge. They still have to go to Hull, Pompey and Posh also. Think it will be nip and tuck if they make it especially as Oxford have been storming results lately and Charlton have picked up a bit also. They think they have a team which should walk the league, despit being down there for three years and seemingly only being top of the league for a period of 2 - 3 weeks over that time.
-
If it does they will be 7 points off 5th never mind an automatic. Oxford and Accrington, just behind, have 1 or 2 games in hand and Charlton are two points ahead also (mackems a game in hand). They may go up, but, on current form their struggling and starting to drop off. They have had a decent run of teams to play the last few weeks also.

I’ve stated above the reasons why I wouldn’t take anything he says with much credit i.e. BBC ban and Chronicle shit he talked which resulted in them pulling the piece. The fact that from yesterday I’ve seen on here and through tweets that he’s suddenly thinks that he’s a legal expert; and that he also thinks the top 6 are not having an influence means I don’t need to listen to one minute of him to know that I would not change my mind on him.
-
You’re making him out like he’s a reputable person with in depth knowledge on everything. The bloke was banned from the BBC and even the Chronicle took down a podcast they had did with him when it was found he was talking shit.

As mentioned above if Jacobs thinks the PL have such a strong case, then why didn’t they knock back the takeover and left if open to appeal. I presume that question wasn’t put to him when he said that.
-
No but Bin Salman put himself forward for the test I don’t think it’d be an issue but he won’t That’s the whole point of the arbitration. If in legal terms it is found that PIF and the Saudi state are separate then why should he.
-
We know there are a few on here that are convinced we’d win the case because ‘just look at the people Ashley has hired’ and I’ve tried to say this a few times that it’s not as cut and dried as this. The PL must believe they have a strong case and if Jacobs is right that PIF didn’t fully answer the questions put to them then not sure what they’d expect to happen. He also said something along the lines about the separation that PIF has a government website and has government employs so a bit of paper from the Saudi government stating pif is a separate entity might not mean much in U.K. court Our best hope is an amicable resolution/settlement They would expect the PL to disqualify the proposed directors under rule F.1.1.1 F.1. A Person shall be disqualified from acting as a Director and no Club shall be permitted to have any Person acting as a Director of that Club if: F.1.1. in relation to the assessment of his compliance with Rule F.1 (and/or any similar or equivalent rules of The Football League or The Football Association) at any time, he has: F.1.1.1. failed to provide all relevant information (including, without limitation, information relating to any other individual who would qualify as a Director but has not been disclosed, including where he or they are acting as a proxy, agent or nominee for another Person); If the PL did think they had a strong case they would have just done that and allowed the club to appeal rather than going through all of this. Their only strength is in their ability to delay. I think the legal relationship between a Saudi Company and the Saudi State could probably only be a matter of Saudi law, I don't think a UK court could apply our company law to establish the relationship between the two. If that is the case any legal position from a Saudi jurisdiction would be likely to hold significant weight. Agree

I saw off a tweet that he was also trying to say the big 6 have had no influence. Yeah ok Ben. Wait for it to conclude, NOBODY knows what is happening apart from the parties directly involved.
