Think Tierney has reffed this one perfectly. Barely got a single decision wrong and tried to let it flow as much as possible but Holding was absolutely thick as fuck.

It’s a tricky balance really because there is only so much fun we’d have if we whittled out the ‘top’ teams and introduced more minnows.

Teams would also be more likely to rest players and it’d become a bit of a farce.

Every now and again you get a shock result like Sheriff Tiraspol, but in reality they are so few and far between.

Not really sure what the best format would be tbh.

It seems a bit daft having 5 English teams in the competition and with Europa and now the Conference League, half of the league would qualify for Europe each season.

Generally most English players tend to be overrated, but that’s more hype by the media than anything else.

You could make a case for 90% of the England squad are rated more highly than they should be.

Think the only exceptions to that which immediately spring to mind are Kane and those who regularly get stick (Maguire, Sterling etc.)

Personally think the Wycombe game will be much tougher than expected.

Over the two legs they were generally quite poor, imo. Scored two goals but were reliant on two massive defensive blunders - I’m not so sure a well drilled defensive team like Wycombe will afford them that.
