  1. Have a feeling with maxi being injured we will revert back to the two Joe's on the left/middle for the man utd game
  2. If it bounces of your leg... It's a deflection. If you are swinging your leg and it's a miscue... It's intent. Can it not be that simple??
  3. The simple fact he can cross the ball with his right foot is a massive bonus... Gives the defenders something more to think about and will create more chances for the forwards
  4. I don't mind VAR as a principle but I don't see why we have to have so many angles, slow mo’s and freeze frames. Give the ref a max 2 views in real time speed. Then if he can't make his mind up with his own eyes then he goes with his own pitch decision.
  5. He is one of those players who will score unique goals like tonights... Something that comes natural to him but nobody else. Like Roberts reverse over head kick, Ginolas keepy up and volley or Cisses wonder goals.
  6. Well done mate.. it's growing each game but you guys never stopped all day. If you can just get the guy to stop singing "we hate Sunderland " in-between the gaps though. We all do... but I rather ignore them to be honest lol
  7. A bit harsh to compare anyone's pressing to Big Joe! Don't think willocks is any worse than our other midfielders.
  8. Think like many from the world cup...he just needs a break over the summer. I know he didn't get much game time but he worked his balls off to get there and it just seems to have been stop start with injuries and red cards. I reckon he will be another level again next season
  9. Add to the Scotland manager dropping him from the squad last summer etc. Just seems that maybe the attitude, commitment drops when faced with adversity? Whilst others such as Lascelles would be putting 100 percent in for that one chance.
  10. I know it's not great at the moment but is the answer not just .. you do you? Some will never sing, others might be waiting to join in, we could be the ones who don't care what people thing and just do it. Then it grows to another 10 people near you singing etc etc. The majority join in on all the flag waving, Bruno song etc but to change things you need a spark. As daft as it sounds do we need a Wor Songs campaign.. and all agree on what new song we are going to chant for the next home game!
  11. Well according to the song we must have had Bruno, Botman and Isak playing together every minute of the season?
  12. In all honesty are we all old men looking back with rose tainted glasses? We have always picked a song and sung it to death. We've got Mirandinha, N and E and a wooble ewe C Keegan/Robson wonderland Andy Cole, Andy Cole... Oh Alan Shearer / Wilson Oh Coloccini At least Bruno was something new for us if not other teams. When was the last Brand new song??
  13. There were only five rows behind me in the lower bowl... But from what I could see everyone was standing for the full game?? I think it goes back to the ticket allocation where you either sat with those in your pot or waited to get more seats with your lowest ranking mates!
  14. Clutching at straws but it was also a valuable life lesson for my two sons... We have not gone and bought the best players, silverware etc but we are growing the club on an upwards journey. And when we do win everything Amanda says and winning becomes boring as it seems to do for the big clubs... At least my boys lived through the pain and joy, good times and bad.
  15. Still prefer the old Wembley... Maybe it's rose tainted glasses but F.A. Cup days were sooo much better! Sunshine, Wembley Way bouncing, Abide with me (not some 90s DJ pretending he is David Guetta ), losing 2.0 but it's ok as the season ended and you had a few months to pick yourself up. On the plus side when we do ever score a cup final goal I hope it's the bloody winner and Wembley have to beg us to leave hours after the game has finished!
  16. I don't miggy doing that overlap run... If every now and then it meant trippier did a cross rather then the pass. At the moment we 100 percent do the same move with 100 percent failure. Even if we mix it up then it would give the opposition something to think about
  17. I was in the lower bowl beneath the roof.. and to be fair it sounded loud throughout. I couldn't see the upper tier but left thinking every was the same? Is this the risk of huge stadiums, they look great but the sound just evaporates
  18. To be fair he is not even the worst back up keeper we have ever had....
  19. And miggy's best crosses come from the left... Wish we swapped them over during games like Robson used to do with his wide players.
  20. Reckon the new camera knacked the speakers? I've not watched any highlights of the game but was it worth spending the money on the camera?
  21. Imagine... The one and only game he plays for us. Written in the Stars!
  22. The top teams want them punished to help them win the title. Us / spurs for Champions League Burnley for promotion Leicester for relegation But I'm sure the other the teams would all love them to be punished just as much as those named do?
  23. Cantona made more sense with sardines and trawlers
  24. If we have exhausted all options... Let's just build it on the Tyne. Whoever kicks the ball in has to get it!
