I'm just saying no one else has a thread with such panic attached to it.. I can't even remember this progressing any further then a rumour never mind clubs talking, links, failed bids etc.

We don't believe any rumours linked to quality players, But we should believe any rumour for a player we don't like And as 99% of our transfers are out of the blue we still need to panic when another journalist jumps on another journalists story about another journalists rumour? Wonder if we are selling Bruno or Big Joe to Liverpool for less money then we are buying Mctominay?

Talk sport saying Man U to start talks with Mason Mount... Just waiting for the Chelsea Chairman to put a late double their offer bid in, to try and steal him like they did every other player last year. They probably even forgot he plays for them in the 50 man squad!

Remember we are a year or two ahead of where we expected to be so FFP, crap sponsorship deals and players we can't shift are all still on the table. Even Klopp needed 2.5 seasons to build and mold his team before they were the major force.

My pet hate is Stand up if you love the Toon. Might be because my knees are fucked but mostly because you will all be sitting down after two minutes! Prefer the Southampton, Brighton, Leicester natural rise of the crowd... Where everyone was on their feet willing the lads across the line.

Actually played in more games then I thought. 36 in total last season but I think he has been pushed down the pecking order. You never know it might be one of those things where a new club is needed and injuries disappear! (Still riles me that Steve Howey managed 4 or 5 games in a row for us and then went to Man City and played a 100 games in three years lol)

The long term Chelsea deals are not wrong ... If you buy the right players at the right price. What if the new Manager wants to change them? One, is there any money left to spend? Two, how much would they lose if they sold them at a discount (do they have to pay all the wages as well?) Might work if it was a long term manager in place but not at a club with a new manager every other year.

Did Isak and Bruno not have the fitness issue at the start... I think that's why Eddie beds them in slowly

So who is going to be our next Beardsley, Bellamy, Trippier team changing signing? That one player who will lift 3 or 4 players around him and see a huge change to the team dynamic. An easy one in my head would be Kane... But I know thats never going to happen!

All I would say is CL is now a minimum 6 games before the knockouts The mad year under Robson we had 14 games, started in August and still didn't make the knockouts! I can't wait for the headache of deciding which cup / league we should focus on come Jan Feb time!

Hopefully Eddie has provided a list of names he wants the two lads to tap up...

Oh and we have the joint lowest league defeats all year... And think we were robbed of a couple lol

What a bizzare season it is when we have people frustrated with a draw v Chelsea , finishing the game with a 17 year old on the pitch, no cm unit to control the game and resting our top scorer. I would have been slightly miffed if we had missed out on 3rd but as things panned out I can live with that. Just remember we don't want to the most 'entitled' fanbase some people seem to think we are.. let's just enjoy the ride, it's going to be a great summer

I know it was 20 years ago but... We brought in Lee Bowyer (free transfer) the last year Robson qualified for the champions league and lost the play off game ?. Still not sure why... Was it money, loyalty to the players who finished third or a case we could not sell any of our squad players?? But it always reminded me of Liverpool in their prime when no matter what they had won they added two, three first team players to freshen things up and keep others on their toes. So I just hope when the season starts we have made forward steps as a team, be it youth, squad, first team or purples being replaced. The one positive I can see is that this is not a blip and good things will come!
