Interesting to see if Liverpool have the same with Quansah

Think this says a lot, now compare to Chelsea or Spurs and another 3 or 4 years and we're getting pretty close to both of them if we can keep growing revenue at the same rate. Throw in a new stadium or an un-expected Champions League semi-final or a bit of title challenge and we won't be far of at all. This is where the Isak sale has helped as we will be able to go again transfer wise next summer rather than looking over our shoulders at FFP.

Ignore the financial aspect and I'm pretty excited for the season. Squad looks a lot more capable of managing the league and Europe. I also think with everyone fit we can beat anyone.

Are we the only club that don't do add-ons, or do they just not report that unless it's the red cartel.

Bring in some rules and regulation around agents, and if an agent can be found to have been leaking stories they lose their cut in any deal. Also comes down to media outlets only using ethical journalists rather than trying to remain a step away from it all by regurgitating these social media influencers who think they can say anything for clicks.
-
I would also have something about releasing stuff to the media either directly or in-directly especially posts on social media.

Think he's a safe option, he does well for us we've got a star on our hands, he doesn't a team in Germany probably buys him off us for not far of what we've paid.
-
Hopefully the set-piece coach is decent as that's at lot of height to hit with him and Burn.
-
Think Slot has got a bit cocky after last season, will be interesting to see how he handles it when they don't have it so easy in the league this season.
-
Fee has to be wrong, no way we're paying £60m+ for him, I mean Gyokeres only cost £64m
-
That's an unbelievable decision

I'm looking forward to Gordon against Frimpong

I mean it's Liverpool but that's handball and a probably a red

All a slippery slope and everyone knows what the end goal is. Less teams, less games, suddenly it's pretty much the six left only playing games against teams they can market as big events to mostly tourists or plastic fans. All while killing big teams that weren't at the top as global viewing increased. Rivalries will die, muti-generational fans will disappear. If the number of teams reduced before last season, we might never have seen a derby again. And if you only watch your team play Chelsea, Man City etc. and not against the teams the media tell you are less important, in my eyes you aren't a fan.

Think you don't get much for £40m (or whatever it is with addons) anymore, if this had come on the back of a good season, Villa would be asking what they would want for Rodgers. There's a quality player in there if we're lucky and can bring it out of him, we can't afford to spend the amount it would require for players that have fulfilled their potential, or haven't had a dip. Another example of how broken football is, who wouldn't want to have kept Anderson and Villa keep Ramsey. But gotta trade for that PSR/Net Transfer Spend.

More media noise, you just know he'll stay, refuse to play and then the narrative will change to Newcastle won't let him train, they're ruining his career. A world where you can state whatever you want as fact and then state something different straight after. Who knows what the truth is in all this, Eddie seems to be the only person I can listen to as I feel like he believes in himself and the club enough to know we will keep moving forward whatever happens so has less of an agenda. Sign another forward and we still go into the season with team where I can compare it with any other premier league team and go I still wouldn't swap our fullbacks, midfield 3 and wingers for anyone else. Isak will always be remembered for this, and I can't see how comments like he would refuse to play won't affect his career going forward, why would anyone show any loyalty to someone who doesn't know the word himself.
-
Wish commentary could go back to just telling me which player has the ball, takes a shot etc. let people form their own opinions instead of all the noise telling everyone how amazing the certain clubs are and creating soundbites

Think it takes some of the pressure of at CB, if we can get Botman fit again, we've got decent depth for next season compared to last with Burn, Schär, Botman, Thiaw and Lascelles.

Playing a local derby half way round the world in a friendly, if that doesn't say football is dead nothing will.
-
You mean a club as well run as Man City suddenly decided they needed a keeper (unlikely), or they are wanting to flip him for profit again which is what football is all about, or they wanted a keeper and maybe they couldn't get their first choice. Maybe they should run with one of those stories. Not like the media to decide instead to push a negative story about little old Newcastle to try and put us back in our box.

Compounds everything else that has happened this summer, but being realistic not many players pick us over Man City with guaranteed trophies and significantly more money. Who knows if City would have come in for him if we have made an offer earlier or not.
