Watching that Murphy goal replayed he was looking at the goal the entire time. Looked like a golfer checking to see if his fade shot was bending enough.

There was one sequence where we lost the ball but had players ready to win it back and I noticed he turned upfield and looked for space. Didn't hesitate, just got himself into position to do something.

I'll be honest I went from pissed to depressed when the news broke. He's 23 and clearly a good footballer with a whole career ahead of him. He royally fucked up, basically kicked the club in the nuts. That said, backing him like the good people of Newcastle did this afternoon is the right thing, on a human level and what would heaping scorn on him do? Very cool video and Trippier clearly backing his teammate like the leader he is. Awesome video and scenes at SJP.

It was because even if he was just trying to put it on the back post he put the perfect amount of arc on it and the fact it went in is great. Wilson was right there. He played a great game.

Schar, Murrphy and Trippier were absolutely outstanding today. Bruno had a great first half. Gordon was all over the pitch. So many great performances today.

From what I saw on Twitter, Tripps leads the EPL in assists. He certainly had a great game today.
