The only reason ASM had a free role was we basically had everyone else behind the ball bar him and Wilson and as the record states we did fuck all doing that,if we do what Howe wants and press from the front, be more attacking with much more movement and not just the owness on Wilson and Saint then playing him out wide in his natural position in a no brainer. Looks a totally different player when he has space outwide and makes space for others and creates chances. Not a st or a 10 for me

Must be one of if not the hardest managerial job in the Premier ATM, rock bottom of the league, shit squad, newly the richest club, fans that want results but not too defensive, unfit and untrained team, low on confidence and some of the worst stats in all departments I've ever seen. Trying to turn that around in a season is going to be difficult never mind a few weeks and we need it done ASAP. Pressure must be huge and as results keep passing just looking more and more glum.

We already have half of a squad that needs replacing anyways, defence isn't even good enough to win the championship if you ask me and midfield needs looked at, we need better cover and options going forward, so big job over next few years no matter what happens but I'd prefer to do it from the Premier.

I can see us improving but I can't see 6 points from next 2, we have been lucky last couple of seasons to even remain in the Prem. Just can't see us going from where we are now to picking up enough wins to stay up. Would have to be one hell of a January to get enough quality in to go on a good enough run and even that's a big ask, who is going to come to a bottom of the table club, are they going to hit the ground running. I think if we manage to stay up it will be a miracle but that's not Howes fault but the previous lack of care from years gone by. I hope I'm proved wrong.

That was the biggest thing I got from his interview, without him criticising anybody saying they did there best really means there best isn't good enough, we all know this squad is seriously lacking and no manager can suddenly make them capable of beating arsenal or any top team. Hopefully can get some points next 2 games and January is crucial.

What is going on with him, just can't understand how he isn't anywhere to be seen considering how shit we are at the back. If he isn't involved on Tuesday then surely the club need to let us know what's happened behind the scenes.

He deserves the criticism buy unfortunately if we are going to survive this season I think we are desperately going to need him, we don't have any other midfielders that can control the tempo, start of attacks from the centre or ping balls about. Can't see us actually singing that many players in January as who wants to come into a team bottom or nearly at that stage of season.

Not saying Shelvey has always given 100% or even 70% this season or even the last one but honestly who wouldn't be fed up playing so defensive and lacking fitness or tactical training, also playing in a team that's so lacking in confidence and a crowd and fanbase that's has been so fed up, any player that isn't really a defensive type of player would have struggled and been disheartened every game. If your game is mostly about spraying balls about and not having nobody in space or having any room to do it then he isn't going to thrive, not even sure what he was asked to do during Bruce Ball. Definitely should be given another chance this season as with others in same position and prove there worth playing for the badge.

Wasn't really meaning that top teams don't need a top class manager and a top class game plan, you can see that in Chelsea now that it makes a huge difference. All I meant was that at the toon most players are very average and alot not even Premier league quality so to get the best our of them they really need a manager to get them playing at a much higher level or a way that gets results as proven on Saturday with us. I could see anyone going in to man u and in short term getting better results just by laying down the law and a new face just because they have great player's. Long term it wouldn't work but I might long enough to say we were too hard on him.

Its hilarious they are even mentioning Bruce but that team really shouldn't need much coaching, I would hate it if he went there and got results, there full of great players and really should be able to play well without a manager, can just hear the pundits already saying they knew he was top class and badly treated. Won't actually look at any evidence and results. On the other hand could go in and prove what we all know.

Surely they must have known we had and still have a massive chance to get relegated, doesn't make any sense not to spend on players or else we will definitely get relegated. Not really an embarrassment considering where we were when they took over and the lack of investment over many years. Would only be embarrassing if we get relegated and don't come back up quickly and I don't think they will care who thinks what tbh. I think we will spend no matter what happens.

Was impressed by Tindal seemed to take charge well before and during game. Definitely brings a more determined vibe than previous regime.

We must be favourites to go down, can see Leeds going on a run, Villa will pick up points. Would say its between Norwich, Burnley, Watford, Brentford and us and can see Burnley starting to put up more of a fight. Just have this feeling it's going to be a bridge too far by Xmas and December fixtures are horrible.

Agree with the first bit but not that we should play defensive, the defenders definitely need to improve as there 3 goals could and should have been stopped even in the formation we played as they were all stupid errors. We aren't good enough to just play defensive and expect results and who wants to play like that. Prefer us to go down fighting than revert back to previous shit. Should have won that game and the effort yesterday was brilliant. I think we will improve each game but its definitely going to be a struggle now to stay up but I'll be behind them now.

Pleased with the performance but Ritchie and Murphy are just so poor defensively, cb just to weak 1 on 1 and gk was awful. I think if Darlow hadn't let in the first it could have been much different. The difference from that game to last regime was massive but defence just isn't good enough and not much coaching staff can do about that. Get dubs back in and could change slightly. If that was first game of the season and not nearly Xmas and bottom of league I'd be over the moon. Roll on January.
