Think if Ali was in a team where he was one of the most important players and treated like by manager and players he would improve. Not sure if he will ever get back to the player he was but if he was 90% of that it would be a huge improvement on what we have.

If we got another 2 cb I wouldn't mind going 5 at the back with Dummet in there at lb and 2 wingback providing width.

Most of this must me made up crap, it's clear we really miss a DOF but was never going to be easy signing players in our position and in January. Every manager has said how hard it is to sign players in this window and its obvious clubs have been adding stupid amounts on top of value. People saying it can't be that hard during January must know more than any other professional that's been in the game for many years. If it's only a few million added I'd say pay it but not an extra 10 or 20 and some are nearly double. Think the owners are obviously trying as I've never seen so many players linked although most are made up shit. I think the best we can hope for now is some loan deals next week and maybe 1 permanent if can get anyone we want to come.

It's been much harder than I thought this window. We know we have actually tried this time instead of pretending to put in a bid that's only 30% of the actual players value. Must be very frustrating for new owners and management having so many bids rejected and clubs and agents pissing about. Maybe as it comes nearer the end of the window clubs will realise if they want the money they will need to stop time wasting and trying to rip up off.

Our biggest problem is defending, scoring and a poor midfield. Could do with new keeper also.

Trying to get a team of crap players to start playing attacking football instead of park the bus style for god knows how long even under Rafa. I loved Rafa when he was here but don't want to go back to that again. If he was a proven winner recently then maybe but a hell of a gamble to go backwards considering he seems to have gone backwards as a manager. I say give Howe a chance to rebuild this shower of shit and if we go down then so be it. Start from scratch.

Rafa couldn't get a tune out of Everton with a much better squad, yes there players also seem to have lost there way and he has worked with most of ours but that was awhile ago and there done now. Can't see him doing any better.

Need a decent attacking cm with an eye for a pass and help control the midfield, not enough options on the box.

Hope we don't go for players now that either don't fancy the championship or want release clauses in there contract if we go down. Should really be thinking long term now.

Its the hope that kills us, devastated after that result as really thought we would win today and push on with some results and transfers. We arent actually much worse of today than we were yesterday but could have been much better. Should really resign to relegation but I'm sure by Monday and more transfer speculation I'll begin again.

People blaming Howe is ridiculous, we moaned for Bruce ball so started playing more attacking, this team has been flirting with relegation for last few years and can't believe we stayed up this long. Can only piss with cock you've got. Players need to take responsibility. Obviously the game plan was what happened before the goal and Howe can't change the shit mentality after that to bottle it.

Cant really blame Howe, he has inherited a shit squad and although not winning has got them playing better. January transfer window is hard enough without being the new most hated team in the prem so best we could do was Wood. Players don't know how to win and totally bottled it as soon as it looked possible. Not sure if it can be fixed now and not sure if anyone else of any quality will want to come now. The whole team needs a refresh as it's full of championship players at best and confidence is completely shot.

Mountain to climb now, think the owners will be questioning if there any point in spending more this season on too players and can't see many wanting to come. Championship it is then.
