What do you think would have worked out differently if we appointed a DOF? It's obviously a position we need to fill but one that will benefit us more in the long term than the short term I would think.

Great Post pretty much sums up my opinions of him, think it's more this forum that has an over inflated opinion of him than Newcastle fans in general mind.

Would like to think with the investment in the team we might at some point in the future be able to play some good attacking entertaining football. That rules Rafa out for me.

Cant believe people are even suggesting dropping him, he's probably the only player in the squad who can create something out of nothing. He's far from perfect and wouldn't be against replacing him in the long term but not at the minute. Who we gonna play instead or him anyways? Murphy or Almiron?

Concerned we aren't being linked with a centre midfielder, I've heard Howe speak highly of Shelvey in a few interviews I hope he hasn't said it isn't a priority position.
