The extra time was not 5 minutes, was at least 7, and the delays added over a minute in extra time so should have been 8. I'd say 3 minutes is a pretty big error (although it wasn't a mistake, was deliberate)

I am going to change my recent position and actually blame the players for this one rather than the manager.

I think Murphy has been quite bad. Good graft defensively but he's ruined at least 3 attacks.

I am hoping that they tire sooner as we have seen against other European teams. i am also hoping our superior bench can make an impact and on 60 minutes not 70 or 80. Woltemade would shine in this game.

Barnes looked furious walking to the tunnel. He should have passed, very greedy.

We need better possession, and this can be improved. Simple as that really.

That's my exact point actually, we should be focused 100% on that, all of our issues are tactical and training. We have some incredible players and they look crap because the tactics are crap and the training isn't focused on possession retention. I no longer blame the players for our issues, we have one of the best strikers in Europe and we don't pass him the ball enough because we don't have the ball enough which means we don't create time and space to let the magic happen. We have two of the best midfielders in Europe but we don't have the tactics and training to enable and encourage them to just hold onto the ball and control games.

Train them as hard as you like. If they can't pass the ball to each other then it's just going to be Chris Eubank vibes, shredded but exhausted and shite.

He gets back into the box, but the rest of the team is shite and doesn't pass to him anyway. He's brilliant, simple as.

The issue is the tactics and philosophy. We can't just rely on one player changing everything, Eddie has had a lot of money to change things as he wishes.

The counter argument is that being handed hundreds of millions of pounds, you could plan to correct this.

My only criticism is that we don't hold the ball enough. No wonder the players get tired, just keep the ball for a bit, play some triangles and save some energy. Just control the tempo, not everything has to be an attack, just chill. We have the players to do this but it's a tactical choice not to and away games we need to as it's not working. Otherwise, hard to complain about the man.

Fair enough In my opinion I think he's exceptional.
