Literally just had a daily standup meeting, talking to one of my Forrest fans colleagues and he says they do need to sell but MGW has only two years left and is refusing to sign new contract with City sniffing apparently so he expects him to go and Elanga to stay.

We’ve won a league cup now man - of county givea us the right to have a pop at fellow traditional proper clubs.

I genuinely believe as it stands at the moment we’ll burn out next season.

I’ll be honest out of all the fans I’ve worked with (I lived in Sheffield, north London and now here) Spurs and Forrest fans have both been the best in terms of being dead sound. They both sit and allow a two way conversation about your team and theirs, not something I get from Liverpool, Man U, City , Arsenal or Chelsea fans (Chelsea aren’t as bad as the others to be honest)

Only takes one delusional person to turn the offer down though.

People down here I know would prefer to lose MGW and keep him but it’s not their call, they’re genuinely all dismissing this and don’t seem the slightest bit worried.

For what it’s worth I agree and think they’ll regret not taking this offer but still think they won’t.

For the record I said he performed a miracle not several.

I honestly think it’s irrelevant as I don’t believe we’ll get him for £55m. The feeling down here is it’s not just words, they genuinely don’t want to lose him and don’t need to sell, on top of that they feel he won’t kick up a fuss either (not my words but 3 season ticket holders I work with).

Have you got any evidence to back that up or do you just suspect - as I say down here in Nottingham they love him and they will be gutted if he goes.

Everyone I work with thinks the same, they all think he deserves to play CL football and have kinda accepted he’ll go (all but one lad whose in denial) but think due to 20% sell on then anything less is so not worth it.

Just checked- he’s scored (out of 246 premiership games) 87 goals. Safe to say he knows how to score in the premiership.

I think you’re trying to buy 4 years ago prices, Sunderland sold (and bought) for almost £40m. £55m does not go as far as you think these days.
