I gave you a like right until that last sentence as I’m a huge fan of Barnes, in goals alone over 8 premier league seasons he’s averaged scoring in 25% of total games and I’m sure assists are good stats as well. You talk about premiere league hardened and he’s a great example of that.

There’s a lot of assumptions in this - what makes you think it will be 2 - 3 points, they’ve been waiting for us to trip up since the takeover and we’ll have deliberately decided to go over. Also “he makes an impact early days then he’ll grab us far more than that”. This isn’t a Hollywood movie - if it took Eddie Howe three quarters of a season with our crazy injuries to get regular time then I see a flaw in your thinking.

What he’s saying is it’s three years from July since we spent £144 million in first January transfer window so that comes back into play.

All the big clubs sell on players like this - everyone on here wants us to be one of them so this is how the game needs to be played, better and smarter money men than us are crunching numbers and doing what has to be done so I trust them. If say he were to make it then people will remember the negative side only “if only we had kept him then…”. If that day comes it would be an eye opener if one of Newcastles Accountants could finish that sentence for us to hear.

These owners don’t over pay - we’ll get him cheaper or not at all. Although a lot of journalists (and Arsenal) thought we’d overpaid for Isak.

Every single article that says we’re selling him states we don’t want to but need to for PSR, just wondering - what’s baffling you?

I still think we start buying properly in August - this is about balancing for PSR and Minteh. Getting DCL in for this price while we can (his price will go up in August as it will be too late for Everton to avoid PSR punishment may just be so we can but RW etc then.
