  1. Hey, I know you’re saying this to take the piss out of me but in my profession (IT, I’m a devops engineering Lead Architect) we’ve been told we have to use A tool called Cursor which is another AI tool no less then for 50% of our job, it’s being monitored and failure to do so ends in disciplinary. It’s coming for my / my colleagues jobs and it scares me.
  2. I get that but I know nothing about the back room setup, do hide it and wanted to know more so started there.
  3. Yeah just read it and ChatGPT for what it’s worth said neither him nor the two Howes have a reputation or background for getting deals done and that was what Mitchell had a solid reputation for. We certainly knew had to get deals over the line when Staveley was here, why not now? We need that someone imo. Again I get I’m being ridiculous and massively simplifying an area I know nothing about.
  4. Did he pick Steve Nickelson or not? Who is he? It seems that team are inept to me but I know nothing, I’m merely looking at the results.
  5. Isn’t he in charge now of putting the team in place to get deals done? Isn’t his cousin or someone doing it? Isn’t it Andy Howe?
  6. Haven’t Man City got a first refusal buy back clause? Just read somewhere “they might” - if this is the case then he never was Burnley’s to sell until City have said no as far as I’m understanding it. Seems City covered all their bases with this one when they let Burnley have him for £15M
  7. We have no evidence Trafford can do anything well in the premiership yet, he’s had one season in and Burnley went down. People just assuming he’s gonna have all of Popes strengths and some.
  8. The progress has been made inspite of the people getting the deals of the line not because of them, so many teams are taking gambles with cheaper or not premier league hardened players and it’s paying off like Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth with oh so many. When we bought Isak I remember Arsenal saying he’d never make it but very soon after all southern press calling us selfish for not selling - now it seems we’re becoming one of those teams who also turns our noses up at the same players we once bought.
  9. It’s now turning into the what have the Romans ever done for us sketch.

Talking to my Sunderland supporting family they say a lot of them have worked with their manager before and have come for that.
  11. Agreed - it feels like both times we’ve got into the CL we’ve not gone for it and taken it for the opportunity it is.
  12. Delap , pedro, Ekitke, Elange (we got him but low balled and it worked).
  13. And probably no skilled negotiator- someone to close the deals off, the people we have in our business (we sell legal software on a licence per user basis and contracts go into hundreds of millions) doing that are really good at what they do, it truly is a skill.
  14. City will probably try and use him to get Livramento
  15. Alright maybe overstatement but he proved we need another CB ready for all the extra games - especially with the sale of Kelly and our defenders age.
  16. He did - we were totally relying on Dan Burn who was amazing I might add. Nothing like the Botman we first bought.
  17. Striker very top for me - I mean Isak is class and all that but Jesus Christ give the guy some help, no wonder he looked goosed and fed up end of last season.
  18. Isn’t a CB also crucial as well though? Botman has looked finished for a while now and if Burn or Schar go down all of a sudden we have what?
  19. I personally swap CM and CB around on your prioritisation but other than that yep.
  20. Just getting this straight - so we’re now expecting the club to buy a GK, CB, CM and striker this window? Well that’s not happening and imo CM comes behind striker and CB for me.
  21. Done Man City also have sell on clause? So they could get him for 4 or 8 mil cheaper and Burnley wouldn’t be out of pocket.

Their owner always said he’s aiming to get them in the prem debt free within five years so they can have a go at it. He’s done that in four and he’s also given the money to spend he always said he would, their having a real go and that’s all you can do.
