Yeah - I 100% trust the process and agree, just read seven goals last season. He’ll score more at us I reckon and only one year left it could be a very good price. People comparing this to Ashley windows etc have a very very short memory and have just already been spoiled as the reason we’re having to do this is because of Ashley’s neglect and us basically starting from the ground with no sellable assets he left and no marketing or corporate input left by him.

In with you on that - came in with no fuss, got on with his job with no fuss then left with no fuss when wasn’t needed - I wish some others who refuse to leave had the same attitude.

Has this whole buying DCL come from anyone trust worthy or are people on here just wearing their pants?

In no expert either but surely Leicester have a case as they are being judged on the whole rolling three years but they weren’t even in top flight for one of those years so they could argue less tv rights, less prize money, less attendance or gate attendance price and still having to pay same wages due to contractual obligations? The whole thing is a farce imo

May be more about preventing a points deduction and him being one of only around 4 players who we could actually sell and we don’t want to lose Bruno, Isak or Gordon.

Must admit I was one of those people who had uproar and that signing was when I vowed not to do it again.

Probably did a lot to keep us safe that first season as I remember a lot of good defensive performances

Some people will bring up Chris wood for that but I’m in the camp of he was a good signing as he came in and did a job then moved on with minimal fuss. That’s the closest for me - perhaps the jury’s still out on Tonali

I wondered how long it would take before people got insane with their expectations since the takeover, it seems now is about that time. I’m genuinely gobsmacked with some things I’ve read on here last couple of days.

If I were to put my car up for sale at book price and I got no offers because no one wanted it then is it worth book price? Even if so is it a fool’s errand me trying to sell it for that when there’s clearly no one interested? This isn’t football manager - every club wants to buy cheap due to psr and the fact there’s now punishment for breaking the rules yet they haven’t lowered their own asking prices accordingly (yet). IMO something needs to give.

We can’t undervalue them that much - no fucker wants them, the only ones we can shift are the ones that’s come in under new owners.

And not his success overall? Not in the credit he probably has with the owners by dragging us off the bottom to finish just outside top ten then get us in the top four and then have everyone disappointed that we didn’t get Europe football for the second season , a season with crazy injuries. If we were to sack him because of a bad signing or two then it’s not Howe I’d be disappointed in personally m.
