  1. But ASM doesnt need replacing within our current sqaud. Fraser does, Murphy does, Wood does because those players are 3rd/4th choice in their respective positions. We need to replace those players with higher quality who can challenge the likes of ASM for a starring XI spot.
  2. Away games do suit us a little more, especially against "midtable" teams. They will want to play and attack more than they did when they came up to us so we should have more opportunities and we should've won that game if not for a terrible VAR decision. The easy choice would be to just swap in ASM for Bruno like on Sunday but I'd actually like to see Isak start as well. Leave Wilson on the bench with a view to keeping him fresher for the Southampton game or to bring on if we need a goal.
  3. Not strange at all. I wouldn't have Fred over Bruno, Joelinton, Willock or even Longstaff. We need another CM but there's much better out there and I'd hate to do Man Utd a favour and take him off their hands.
  4. Or wonder if he'd not miss any matches at all had he been taken off immediately. I know which is more likely.
  5. That's a disgusting thing to post. May as well sign Fred while we are at it also.
  6. That would be a big miss for them, not only because he's very decent defender but he also provides alot of their attacking balls over the top. Plus it means James Tomkins will probably play and he's a massive donkey.
  7. 4-2-4 or just simply 4-4-2 seems the general consensus. But it certainly looked like Isak was deeper than Wilson at every opportunity which could just be what they have worked on in training. Isak is definitely a better ball carrier than Wilson and has the ability to go past players so it does make sense he'd play slightly deeper and leave Wilson to play in the should of the last defender.
  8. Long way to go yet but it does seem like Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea aren't at the races. Good gap between 4th and 5th now, that's what we want to maintain. Next 3 games against bottom half teams and that's a massive opportunity to make that gap even bigger. Just need to make sure we are take our opportunities against teams that just play for a draw, can't be doing with many more 0-0 results if we want to stay where we are now.
  9. Never mentioned he did that more than once, because he didn't. Still performed well and created chances in the 45 minutes he was on. You seem to have something against him, not sure you need to reply to every single person on this thread who isn't giving him grief.
  10. Sprinted from one side of the pitch to the oher about 5 minutes from time to try and pressure/tackle a Fulham player. Definitely has changed his mindset somewhat in the last 6 months. Needs to be starting against Palace now and get back into his groove.
  11. Looked well off it since going back to Chelsea, hasn't taken any if his many chances he had there at the start if the season. They'll still be asking a bomb for him as they want to make up for their spending spree.
  12. Murphy over ASM would be a proper mood killer. Almost as much as seeing Wood rather than Wilson. Don't see it happening though, I reckon the only way Joelinton doesn't start is if he himself isn't mentally in the right frame if mind to play. I doubt he'll be "dropped" for it.
  13. He's just a Fellani type player, has good spells here and there but never good enough for a top Premier League team.
  14. It's a shame Man Utd are getting into their stride but fortunately Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs are all well below par. We have to get back to winning in the league though, a few consecutive league wins in the next few weeks and we'll comfortably be in top with a bit of a cushion. 3-1 I'll say for this game. 1-0 at HT.
  15. Wouldn't surprise me. But equally I think Fulham are going to be more open than Leeds/Bournemouth were so I can only hope we get enough chances to score atleast 1.
  16. In a perfect world yes that's how it would work. However there will be players currently playing in the first 11 who don't want to just be sat on the bench as rotation/cover. You have to strike the right balance.

    Joelinton

Well that's ASM starting against Fulham then.
  18. Sounds too good to be true so its almost certainly not. Would be an outstanding signing especially at that price, obviously its alot of money but he's 27 so in his prime years and he's proven his quality at the highest level for a long long time. Good injury record also.
  19. I think that'll be solved in the summer. Don't see Lascelles staying with us into next season so we'll need another CB anyway.
  20. I don't see that happening, I imagine Wilson starts and Isak comes on early/late 2nd half depending on the scoreline. The team that beat Leicester will be the one that starts on Sunday.

    Joelinton

He's up to €32M on Transfermarkt.co.uk. Another half season like the last and he'll be easy up to €40M.
  22. Just like against Leeds it'll most likely make no difference at all. This is a damn sight harder than Leeds as well so I'm expecting it to be in a similar pattern
  23. Only just noticed but why is the ground so empty??
  24. How on earth has Anderson missed that, hits it right at the keeper.
  25. We've been poor, they probably deserve that. We've missed so many chances you can't complain if they actually take one of theirs.
