  1. Not sure how you can equate him scoring 1 goal in 4 matches is him single handedly getting them 5 points. If Wood had scored 1 goal I'm his 5 games here would you say he was solely responsible for us picking up 11 points in those games? The time has gone for us to be worrying about Burnley. Those 3 can fight amongst themselves for who finishes top of the relegation places.
  2. Dawson and Zouma are two of the most aerially dominant CBs in the league. He was always going to struggle. I agree he was poor yesterday and ideally you would've had someone who had pace to run in behind West Ham but unfortunately we don't have that luxury to pick and choose a different striker for different games. The last few games of the season will be very interesting if Wilson gets back into the squad.
  3. Barely got on the ball yesterday but that's alot to do with the fact that by the time he came on all out players were absolutely shot. No one was really trying to venture further than halfway and so he was just left to defend the wings. I agree he probably won't be here next season and I'll not be that bothered tbh. Doesn't seem to fit in with our team anymore, don't think he's technically good enough on the ball.

    Jacob Murphy

He did well yesterday in a game against opposition of much higher quality than we've played in the last 4 matches. West Ham had to take Fredericks off because Murphy was all over him. Give him a break, see how he does against Brentford and Brighton then we can make a better judgement. If we are lucky, ASM will be back for the Southampton game but until then Murphy is the best we have in that position.

    Joelinton

A couple of times yesterday he just took a little touch to knock it around and oncoming attacking player to get us out of trouble. When he was first playing in the middle he was doing that and I was assuming it was just luck but he clearly has the ability to do that and knows how to execute it. The problem he has now is this is the type of performance that is expected from him, there's a different kind of pressure than there was a year ago. Not sure there is a player in this team who I want to succeed more than him. I'd love to see him stay in the team next season and become even more of the perfect midfielder than he is now.
  6. Whoever said Spurs would beat City and then lose to Burnley is halfway there. Hope you put money on it.
  7. Villa shit? Or Hodgson doing good work with Watford? Either way not a great result for us when any of the bottom 3 get a win.
  8. Watford now leading. Gap still 4 points even if they do thankfully
  9. Wtf is going on with Burnley!! How are they beating Brighton 3 nil.

    Matt Targett

Absolutely solid. Exactly what you need when you're building a team to move up the league. Don't think we will sign him permanently but I wouldn't be disappointed if we did.
  11. Other than 3 wins on the bounce that's the most surprising thing for me when you look at our last 6 results. Only 4 conceded in the last 6 and add to that Dubravka has hardly have a save to make within those games. Rather than single handedly keeping us in games.
  12. Brilliant point! Could've had 3 if we'd had a fully fit squad I think. Everyone was absolutely knackered by the end of it, hard work all round from each and every player.
  13. Really pleased for Murphy today, he's having a good game. ASM won't be missed quite as much if he can continue this for the next couple of weeks. I think thiae years under Bruce had us fooled into thinking if ASM isn't playing we are going to lose. This is a totally different team now, we aren't so one dimensional.
  14. Real shame Manq getting injured at same time as Trippier. Krafth really has been poor today. But I suppose he is 3rd choice RB, can't expect too much.
  15. Pretty sure it was made clear at the time that there was no option to buy. He's very good but I think we'll be looking elsewhere. He's not Brazilian for a start!
  16. Nice change from the norm, but means nothing, they've let Schar and Burn play keep ball for alot of that half.
  17. We have been the best side, Trippier is such a massive loss. Would look so much more comfortable defensively with him in there now. No doubt we are missing Wilson(or someone similar) though, we've missed atleast 2 very good chances in that half because most of our plays lack composure and finishing ability.
  18. I'm not sure the cross was that bad. The first decent one Krafth has put in today. If that had fallen to any player other than Fraser they would have been able to get their head on it convincinly.
  19. He's surprised me today. Far better on the ball than I gave him credit for. Gets back and helps defensively alot as well.
  20. Willock deserves that! Been excellent today. Always makes me laugh when players wag their finger to say it didn't cross the line!! No argument about it these days, why do they bother!!
  21. Great start! Should've been a free kick for us after Rice took down willock in the middle anyway.
  22. Dubs Krafth Schar Burn Targett Bruno Shelvey Willock Fraser Wood Joelinton That would be what I would pick personally now that ASM is out. Joelinton can still contribute defensively and press better than ASM can from that position and it doesn't weaken us in the middle because Bruno comes in.
  23. What's happening with the Everton game? Everywhere aside from the actual club website seems to suggest that has been re arranged for 17th March.
