We need a CB in without a doubt. It won't be easy and we'll be paying over the odds for him but clearly DG is someone the club really want. I just hope they aren't so determined that we miss out on getting a CB in entirely.

Diego Carlos has the same agent as Bruno so perhaps he's pushing it more now the Bruno deal is done. He knows he'll be due a massive payday if he can get both of those deals through.

Bakker, Zapata and Burn would do for me. That along with what we've got in already would be incredible. You'd hope that would see us staying up with a game (or 2) to spare.

Midfield 3 of Bruno, Joelinton and Shelvey seems most likely. Although with injuries and what not Longstaff and Willock will also get alot of games in the middle. Could easily see Willock being used further forward in the front 3 and obviously Joelinton can be used there as well.

400m over 3 seasons, we wouldn't be getting top 6 if that's what you think. Every other club in that top 6 currently will be improving and they already have better squads. If no other clubs spent any money whatsoever then it's do able. Right now, there are arguably 9 clubs are are capable of getting a top 6 finish.

That is a good point and that will help im sure, but no CM yet, which is huge for ensuring we are more defensively assured. Also signing Bakker is still a big if, as is any CM or any signings at all. So we could well go into Februay with Trippier and one new CB as only new defenders. That would worry me.

All the statistics suggest he's better than any CB we currently have, in that respect he could clearly improve us. However its obvious he plays in a defensive unit at Brighton which is far better than we are and in a different formation/position occasionally. So there would be questions about how he'd fit in here and how well he'd do with the crap around him. 10M (if true) would be a good piece of business and certainly worth it to get Clark out of the squad.

Scored 5 this season for Southampton. On loan from Chelsea. He's still young (20). Hard to say at the moment whether he's just going through a good patch or if he could actually score goals consistently year on year.

This will improve us immeasurably in midfield. Would still like another 2 in the door but this would be a hell of a way to start the last few days of the transfer window. A midfield 3 of Bruno - Shelvey - Joelinton sounds decent.

Alli possibly was 2nd choice after failing to get Lingard in. Don't think either would save our season but better than Willock or Almiron as an CAM?....yes, probably.

Could quite easily go the way of someone like Thauvin. A move to a France or Spain and he'll do well I think. Just hasn't worked here. Looked exciting when he arrived but has gone downhill alot in the last 12 months.
