This will improve us immeasurably in midfield. Would still like another 2 in the door but this would be a hell of a way to start the last few days of the transfer window. A midfield 3 of Bruno - Shelvey - Joelinton sounds decent.

Alli possibly was 2nd choice after failing to get Lingard in. Don't think either would save our season but better than Willock or Almiron as an CAM?....yes, probably.

Could quite easily go the way of someone like Thauvin. A move to a France or Spain and he'll do well I think. Just hasn't worked here. Looked exciting when he arrived but has gone downhill alot in the last 12 months.

I'm firmly of the belief now that until Lascelles and Shelvey are out of the team (and replaced by better quality) we aren't going to get any better. We aren't beating Leeds without a new face or two through the door.

I'm not going to blame Howe for anything that happens this season. This isn't his cross to bear and I'll be disappointed if he gets much stick when we are relegated. This isn't even Bruce's fault to an extent, the short terms issues of player fitness and professionalism was ofcourse his doing but they can be rectified in a matter of weeks with a new manager and coaching team. This lays squarely with Ashley, everything he's done to our club will take years and years to put right and even then that's just a bare minimum. I'm staying as calm as possible with the situation we are in because I do have faith the new owners and directors will come good for us. It will take longer than we would like, but it will happen and it will be fucking glorious when it does!

Everton will have a new manager by time we play them, Villa are much much better than us now with their new signings. West Ham are immeasurably better than we are and will comfortably beat us. Any new signings coming in might make a slight difference but unless we bring in 5 more so we can change both CBs, both CMs and a insanely good forward then it'll be a drop in the ocean of crap.

May sound a strange thing to some but I actually dislike the opposition getting an early red card. I think it makes it much easier for them to just concentrate on defending. I just want to win, couldn't care less how it happens.

Bit of a risk putting Dummett straight back in after so long out. Can't see that happening tbh. It's going to be Ritchie whether we like it or not.

If Blackburn weren't doing as well as they are I would say Brereton Diaz would be one to go for. Can't see them completely screwing there chance at Premier League football again by selling him though.
