I think the reason they don't count them as assists is that it would then seem like "winning" penalties was intentional. Whereas it's just meant to be a punishment for the opposition. It might encourage more diving or faking from players if winning a penalty counted as an assist.

Wilson and Schar is a must. Both obviously coming into the last few years (at top level). Schar will probably start next season but Wilson won't be and you'd imagine we can get a reasonable fee for him. With so many other areas that we need to go big on, I'd be happy with Pope as #1 next season but of course we need to bring in a better #2, a more appropriate style of keeper than Dubs.

Saw yesterday that this Spurs side are on exactly the same amount of points after the same amount of games as they were under Conte. Seems like Ange has changed the style but failed to really change the results all that much. Absolutely on paper those are the games we should win but as you say Palace away is tough and then it's only two days break before Sheff Utd, with our thin squad that's a tough turnaround. It should've been moved to the Sunday really or the Palace game back to the Tuesday.
