Absolutely there is. Current TV deals end in 2028/29 so nothing can change until then but I'm almost certain it will change to a more modern model at that point. The fact the MLS already do it is a big deal.

Depends how pre season goes I'd guess. He'll play a lot of minutes during that. Could argue we'd have barely seen him at all this season had Wilson been available more.

We have played a game less though. So hopefully will be 9pts by the end of the game. 4th to 12th is separated by 10pts. Its been an exciting season so far and I think the next couple of months will be even more so. Having DCL and Osula as the two striker options on the bench is about as contrasting as it can be. Certainly decent options but how often DCL would be available is just the same issue we have now.

There is an argument to be had that "types" of yellow cards should be categorized. So that, for example, taking your shirt off or time wasting still receive an on-field yellow card but they don't count towards a ban. Probably a bit unnecessary and players should be be more careful not to get stupid cards for things like that.

Any serious interest in players like Delap/David surely must mean Wilson is going. Unless he'd seriously be happy to be 3rd or even 4th choice for next season. But even then he's on a big wage for that level of player and it's not like he still won't get injured even if he's not playing.

That's such a soft penalty. The ball has already gone, Rogers has played it as he intended to and it's just a late foot. That's quite harsh IMO.

Nothing wrong with that. If we pay X amount for him and he performs well enough to get Real Madrid interested in signing him then I see no issue with that. Nice thing about CBs and defenders in general is that there's no shortage of options, unlike the centre forward position.

Who would you take from this? Not including the Liverpool players because we all know where they are off to. David is the obvious one that sticks out. Wilson out and David in would be excellent (although he'd probably want to be first choice, so could be a no go). Gomes feels like a good one if Longstaff is going, but does he suit Howe's physical style. If Lascelles leaves, Tah would be a decent replacement, but we'd still need another CB in as well.

I'm hoping Solanke gets a chance. Must be a real downer being called up to England as a centre forward in the last 6/7 years. Basically knowing you won't ever play any meaningful minutes unless Kane is injured and even then he still might play.

Moise Kean having a very good season so far. He's not going to start ahead of Isak though and he's not the kind of attacker that plays from out wide so I don't see the point of this one. He's 25, not a youngster anymore that's going to be happy on the bench or with 15 games a season. Although I get the point of bringing in another striker to challenge Isak, especially if we have UCL football, that will be a tricky thing to do though, how do you convince a striker to sign knowing he'll basically never be first choice and rarely start league games. Spurs had the same issue for a long long time when Kane was there.

Not confident of getting 4th, I think that's a big ask considering the teams above and around us. I think 5th is doable but we really can't be leaving it to the last few games. I'd not enjoy NEEDING to get something from Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton. The next four games are huge, we should be winning all of them if we want to seriously be in with a chance of UCL next season.

Guess we'll find out how bad Gordon is injured on Monday. I imagine he'd have started that game, doesn't seem like it now though.

Not sure it really matters. Him being there or not won't be the reason we do or don't win it.

As has been proven over the last few seasons, I'dsay it's far more important to have "proven" players in attacking positions than defensice ones. We don't need to spend £50M on Huijsen, there's will be an alternative for half that price who will suit out squad and do just as well. You've got to be extremely lucky or get in very early to find a RW or ST who will come in and get the goals and assists you need for much less than £45/50M. That's where the big money needs to go this summer. Dibling isn't the one for that, I doubt he'd even start at first.
