The fact Man Utd drew against Burnley today has almost made up for us losing to Palace. Shame West Ham got a point though.

Quite surprising how in this 10 day break the club have been able to accurately remove all footballing ability from these players. Crazy turn is form.

Targett is currently worth very very little considering his injury and how little he's played in the previous 18 months.We'd be lucky to get anything close to £5M this summer. Wilson is 32 and going into his last years which will be even more injury filled than his prime year's. He's got experience and scores goals etc but his downsides are so glaring. If we can get somewhere between £10M and £15M I'd take it. Plus he's in his last year now (?) Almiron is the big one. He's 30 but he still plays like he's 20 and this current injury aside is pretty sturdy. Saudi seems the obvious choice for him. I think we could squeeze £20M out of one of those clubs over there for him.

We'd probably still end up in pot 6.

The more quotes I see from Ratcliffe, the more I think he's the perfect guy for Man Utd. The more he talks the more stupid he makes himself and his club look.

Its a big risk going into next season if we just have Targett, Hall and Burn as our choices at LB. Targett is injured and for an unknown timescale, who knows how long he is out and how long he will then take to get up to speed. Could be January for all we know. Hall is 19 and maybe with a full pre season he could be close to what is required to be starting at LB, but that's still up for debate and the rest of this season will perhaps be a good sign of what's to come. Burn shouldn't be playing LB unless absolutely necessary, proven by the last few weeks, he's a different player at CB. Emergency cover only. It's why Kelly makes so much sense, he covers CB and also LB. Bringing him in (especially for free) allows another CB to come in and then you've got two players for every position across the back four PLUS very decent third choices at RB, CB and LB when Botman and Lascelles are back. RB: Tripps, Tino, Krafth RCB: Schar, New Player, Lascelles LCB: Burn, Kelly, Botman LB: Hall, Kelly, Targett, Burn

Glad this is at Palace actually. There fans will be expecting a good performance as a minimum. Ideally we wouldn't play on the counter against this lot but that could be the way this once.

Hopefully from his agent trying to drum up some interest. Having three dedicated strikers for a team that plays one up top is a total waste of money. Gordon is our third choice and that's totally fine as long as we replace Wilson with a player capable of staying for for the majority of the season. Now if the club can find a top class RW who is also capable of playing striker (or vice versa) that's ideal but it's also unlikely.
