Well that's shit. There goes his perfect record. Wilson was obviously putting him off.
-
Pope is the only keeper on the bench.
-
Them finishing this season just 6pts above relegation would be quite something. Hilarious really.
-
Well that's a terrible decision. If that's a foul then what the fuck is going on.
-
Here's me saying yesterday we've seen the death of 3/5 at the back and we'll have to stick with 433 for the rest of the season and Edward has gone and done that.
-
Bringing Brexit football back to Turf Moor. We'll be heralded by the home supporters like heroes.
-
FOUR FOUR FUCKING TWO!
-
I'd not even be shocked to see him as the 3rd keeper on the bench. Karius and Gillespie got some competition for their spot now.
-
There would still be people on Twitter saying "I think he's worth a punt for £20M" Biggest blown career of the last few seasons. All he had to do was NOT move to Man City. Now he'll struggle to ever regain what he had at Leeds/England at that time.
-
Well that's a huge blow. Krafth is going to have to step up massively now. Also buggers any chance of us doing 3/5 at the back again this season.
-
That's not what I said now is it The FA will see Southgate tenure as a success (mostly) given the amount of progress that been made. So why not follow the same model and appoint Carsley. Not that I believe that's the right thing to do at all.
-
The FA will look at how it's worked out for Southgate and I've got no doubts they'll be considering the same about Carsley. He's actually won something managing his England team remember.
-
Yes they can, I worded it badly but what I meant was more towards talking about pre contract agreements. They can talk to other clubs but cannot sign pre contract agreements with another PL club until a month before their current contract runs out. So in January, Adarabioyo or Kelly could have signed a pre contract with any non PL club. But cannot do so until May 30th for us, so technically either could actually be "signed" by then May 30th but wouldn't officially start his contract until his current one ends on June 30th.
-
Talks can officially start a month before his contract ends, so I suppose technically he could be as "close" as a month away from agreeing a deal with us.
-
Free transfers potentially? I know wages and signing on fees would have to be paid but I'd hope if we want either/both of Kelly/Adarabioyo then we'd get it done ASAP.
-
Anyone else watched that Southgate video yet? Mentions that Anderson is joining up with the England youth set up, or that's what I took from it anyway. Seems to line up with him dropping out of the Scotland squad a while back. Seems like he's one that has been watched recently.
-
Would've been hilarious if this was started last season. All the big clubs expecting the "bottom" club to be Burnley or Sheffield Utd and it ends up being far far worse and it's Luton instead.
-
Aren't they just assuming that with these changes comes the "luxury tax" rule whereby you just pay a fine for breaking rules rather than points deductions. I don't think that's ever been confirmed anywhere so far. Obviously if true that does benefit us but then you have to ask why Manchester City/Utd and Villa voted against it if so.
-
Interesting that Chelsea abstained and also interesting Villa voted against it. Obviously understandable why both Manchester clubs did though. Must seemingly be positive for ourselves else you'd hope we'd have voted against it. Suprising that it will be ratified this summer, I thought it would take longer than that.

With Lascelles being out alot of next season, Wilson potentially going, Ritchie maybe off, Dubravka almost certainly is, even Dummett might be gone, if Trippier also leaves that's a big chunk of our leadership team and senior players out of the picture. He needs to stay, he's still at PL level and hopefully this extra rest and rehab will set him up well for next season. The only reason I'd want him gone is if there's substantial bid that is impossible to turn down(£15M+).
-
For what it's worth, the exact same thing that happens to energy companies and water companies, they all have a regulator (even though they do a shit job of it). So there's no reason football should be any different seeing as the PL can't seem to manage it by itself.
-
Well that's exactly why the general football public want this regulator in place ASAP. Whatever Masters and the other untrustworthy members of the PL want, it's probably best to do the opposite . The sooner the regulator is in place the better it will be for fans and the worse it will be for Masters, and I'm happy to see that happen.

Murillo has done OK this season, considering it's his first one in England. He's quite erratic and does lack the extra height we need at CB. Ideally we need to find a young Lascelles from somewhere.
-
We'll win but it won't be as straightforward as we'd all like. They're better defensively than Sheff Utd but they score very few so you'd hope Isak, Gordon and Barnes should have the goals to win this.
-
Oooof. One of them against us would've been nice Chris.
