They've got West Ham next who they most certainly beat then they've got a run of 6 games in which they could easily lose all of them. I'll judge them when we're 8/9 games in. Trippier is a big FPL player so I wouldn't be shocked if he's spoken to the players that play it and mentioned this is how they should go about it. Burnley did basically the exact opposite of this last week against City. Let's be honest it shouldn't make any difference but maybe even if it subconsciously helps the tiniest bit then it's worth taking Haaland, Grealish etc out of your team when you play against them.

I mean that would be a hell of a thing to do, if you just thought "nahh, probably going to lose this week so I'll take myself out the team" but I reckon most of the team players will have themselves in the starting 11 unless they know for a fact they aren't going to actually be starring their game/or won't get alot of minutes.

I follow a few FPL guys on Twitter and they have numerous lists relating to player owned FPL teams and they keep an eye on them because they are a good source of early team news. This is what the Newcastle players did just before the deadline tonight.

FPL rumours are often the first place where you'll hear about team news long before anywhere else. Trippier has Schar starting in his team and Longstaff has Isak starting in his, along with himself (Longstaff) on the bench. So make of that what you will but that sounds like an unchanged team to me. Also, Fabians Schar has Gordon starting in his team, so I'd say that's fairly conclusive.

So until the draw is made we won't know whether it's the Tuesday or Wednesday that week we are playing. Problem is, I work every Tuesday night but I'm off every Wednesday night so the sooner I know which exact date the games are the better. Praying for Wednesdays only.

The draw takes place on 31st August and we'll find out whose in our group but when do we find out the dates for those group games?

Haaland is inevitable though. They could play their reserves with Haaland up top and he'd still get himself on the scoresheet. Undoubtedly the best time to be playing them but still a harder game than 90% of games we'll play this season.

Their defensive unit is going to look alot different from the one that won them so many games last season. Some combination of Walker, Akanji, Gvardiol and Ake. Obviously still an extraordinary defence but definitely not their best. And hopefully because of these defensive changes their build up play and structure in transition could be affected.

Different for every player/contract as far as I'm aware. Some sell on clauses can follow players through multiple clubs while others will only last a set period of time. We may never know what the details are.
