As a non-local, I really dislike this draw. Scared of more injuries. Their players are going to go crazy mode. Hopefully Livra, Bruno, Isak etc. will get rested for this one. -
Lets just keep playing like we did against Man utd. He didnt have much to do there Even though I think Pope have been an important part of getting us to where we are now, I also think he was up for replacement soon enough. Need a keeper who is better with his feets going forward. Awful timing though. Feel bad for him
-
Not a bench player for me, more a rotating player for easier games maybe? Think he is best utilized when he plays the full 90 mins.
-
Not going to be easy, Almiron brings so much to the team. If he just could get some consistency in his finishing.. I actually think our first team is on par with most atm(in practice, not on paper). Just need a bigger squad, bigger than others considering the intensity in our play.
-
Was a fan of ASM myself, havent missed him a single second when I think about it
-
His appointment (and Emery being the other choice) also shows have well run we are as a club now. Going to challenge Man City bigtime in a year or two when we get a squad filled out with only quality players.
-
Not a single bad game, MOTM contender if every one. Not sure what has improved us most, his threat in attack or his pace in defence. We look like such a more solid team and complete team with him in it. Really fucked Southampton over with this one.
-
Apart from his finishing I thought he was excellent yesterday.

Newcastle United vs. Manchester United: 2/12/23 @ 20:00 (TNT Sports)

This isnt the game to rest players, maybe next vs Everton. -
Dont have that much of a problem with the ref. When he gets called over he is getting put under a tremendous pressure to overturn the decision, especially when it is for the home team.
-
Competent refs decides that. If we cant have that then fuck off with VAR.
-
Yeah VAR would be perfectly fine if it was only used by competent people with its original purpose of only overturning rare blatant errors.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Bookies give us 8/11 odds to win and PSG 11/10. Gives us about 30% chance to get top two on paper Think they are way to optimistic on PSGs odds though, they havent been any good away from home. -
One thing is for VAR not to overturn the pen if the ref had given it. But for VAR to step in and claim that the ref made an obvious error with that "handball"? Its insane.

Id say 35% chance of CL, 40% chance of EL and 25% chance of going out of Europe. Looking alot better than it did yesterday. -
