I would be less understanding of Barnes not starting rather than Tonali this time around. He really deserves it, must be extremely frustrating if he doesnt force his way in after his performances lately. Dont get me wrong though, Tonali deserves it too, but thats more to do with who he replaces. -

I can understand gloryhunters being upset with us now, but dont blame Eddie Howe. He doesnt control the budget. I dont know if he will end up being the one ending our throphy draught, its still an open question. Remember that every elite manager started out being a "nobody" with something to prove. Havent seen anything to suggest that Eddie cant end up being one of them. 4th in the overall Premier League table since he came here is impressive as fuck. -

There clearly is something not right with their relationship imo. Dont really blame journalists for digging into it. -

Quite surprised to see us being odds favorite to win this one. -

Ginola was obviously more skillful but.. Harvey Barnes has 7 Premier League goals in 900 minutes for us, Ginola got 6 in 4600 minutes. Other than both scoring some amazing goals they arent comparable at all yeah. -
Feel like Gordon could do a better job on the right and that Barnes is the most in form player at the moment and should be prioritized to get his preffered position. Dont know about rotating them, think its better to just have one player get some time to get accustomed to the position.

I might be overly negative. If so it comes out of frustration, not trying to achieve anything. I just dont see what he offers to the team, being a hard worker simply isnt enough at this level. Certainly not enough to keep an Italian international on the bench.

I mean when i first saw he had made one there was no choice really

Is there any way we can fit Gordon and Barnes coming in from the left? -
Hate to say it, but I think him not being his usual self is one of the big reasons we have looked the way we have. Not offering much atm.

Based on chances it was an even game i would say. And since football is about scoring goals I dont think its unfair to say we deserved to win when we actually put most of them in. Same as Spurs really. Things do have to change though, we cant keep relying on individual brilliance. It was simply Barnes, Schär and Pope that gave us that win, not the team. -
Saves like this reminds me why it wont be that easy to replace this guy, even with his shitty kicking.
-
The yellow card might have been the deciding factor in taking him off, really limits his play.
-
Deserved it for some time now.
-
Alot better in the first half than he has been previously in the season. Does not work as a striker as we have seen many times before.

Like I have said before. Eddie isnt flawless and makes mistakes, and not starting Tonali and Barnes today were a couple of big ones. I think he have finally learned the lesson after subbing them on at HT today -

Collecting the ball from inside the tunnel made it all worth it.
