  1. Yeah that was me. Well when Brentford and Wolves are demanding £65m for Wissa/JSL and Liverpool won't bid up to £150m I don't see any other choice. It's not like I would want or think that he would be staying long term.
  2. I'm starting to come around to it. Atleast now we aren't that dependant on him.
  3. Don't think it will be that hard. People forget easily, especially when it's in everyones interest to do so. Not that he will ever achieve a legend status here or anything like that.
  4. Yup, was just about to say. Even just a poor game by Ekitike will make them desperate.
  5. £65m for for a 29 year old Afcon striker? Thats ridicolous.
  6. Liverpool "won" the second Isak refused to play for us. They are either getting a top player and/or they have hurt the competition. Only question that remains is how badly we are going to lose.
  7. Yeah. 135m. Not sure about 130. Don't think we would have bent over at all, but met in the middle. £120m would be bending over.
  8. To be fair to my fellow countryman, hasn't he been pretty much correct on most things other than the initial Sesko bid?
  9. Even I will be pissed if we let him go for £120m, and I want him gone bad.
  10. Well they will ensure that no player in the future will be interested in grtting tapped up like this by them just to be left stranded. So they got something to lose.
  11. Put me and my girlfriends anniversary as my PIN code. Still haven't remembered it once at the actual date lol.
  12. Think hating Danes is more of a you thing bro. Most of us think they are pretty chill and sticking to their own business, but thats maybe just because we can't understand a word that is coming out of their mouth.
  13. No more fucking "I am Newcastle United" please.
  14. That position is essentially the same as saying that he is staying. And I dont think that is in the clubs best interest, and I dont think Eddie sees it that way either. I can understand it being a tough pill to swallow letting him go to Liverpool, but our focus should be on what helps the club move forward. And I think that is getting a very good price (£130-140m) for getting rid of a disruptive element.
  15. Makes sense considering our previous purchases. Not a lot of players close to 30, not after the initial window atleast.
  16. Thought he was poor in the first half vs Liverpool. A few misplaced passes and a couple of mistimed jumps which could have been dangerous.
  17. I'm thinking it's done already, hopefully in time for him to play tomorrow. Announcement to come after the media stuff is done.
  18. Only backup RB and LB is needed really. We will absolutely have some money to spend next year if we sell Isak, its only the year after that we will need to figure something out. But who knows how things will be by then in regards to PSR. Maybe it gets scrapped, maybe we sell our womens team, maybe we have substantially increased our revenue after winning the CL.
  19. Sell on was only 10% of the value above his purchase price, not that impactful. The fee of the new signings are spread out over 5 years while the sale of Isak gets booked into profit instanty(minus sell on and current book value).
  20. Seems about right to me. Both young with possible future resale value aswell. Selling Isak will give us some room to manouver in the next windows even if we get both.
  21. Totally relaxed about how it will turn out next after we have signed Woltemade. I'm assuming we won't sell Isak without getting another striker in.
  22. Any sliver of a chance we inserted a buyback clause that the media somehow didn't learn about? Would have to pay silly money for young England international if not
